Hello again from southern California. Always happy to see a new notification from you. The Seltos looks like a Great vehicle.wii be interesting to see if it comes to the US. Last month a good friend of mine bought a new Kona sel, on my recommendation, with tech package! He loves it. He has liked my Elantra. So wanted to go look at Hyundai, since he has never bought one. MY 17 Elantra just turned 54.000 miles. Has been flawless, 0 problems. Just had the transmission serviced at the dealership. 3 years old, and I still like it very much. Keep up the good work.

The lower variants have halogen projector headlight at the place where top trims have turn signals so maybe that’s why top trims have such a big turn signal.

Really liked your review. But I am little confused why it is compared with Venue as its smaller than this one. In India, Kia has launched Seltos with three engine options 1.5 Petrol, 1.4 Turbo Petrol and 1.5 Diesel, all are available with Manual as well as automatic transmissions and there are total 16 variants available in Seltos.

We are sold with indian version here, with no e-brake and no radar system. But it has the alarm reminder for sunroof and mobile phone. The engine is also smaller with 1,4 turbo instead of 1,6 turbo. But there is alternative of crdi engine

It’s a nice looking car, I think it looks like the Jeep renegade. They should make another mode with a higher ride height and compete against the Subaru Outback. I have the USA Model (The Kia Seltos SX-T) so fully loaded. I love the car SO much. It is amazing. The only thing that makes me sad is the omission of some features like ventilated seats and the heads-up display from the American market that annoys me, but otherwise, it is a fantastic car. *Oh, and we also do not get a heated steering wheel.

Not calling Kia liars, but they do seem confused as there's no real reference to Hercules having a son named Celtos, though Hispalus and Aventinus are mentioned. Now Heracles, the Roman version of Hercules (who is from Greek mythology) had a son named Celtus, but that's pronounced with a hard K sound Kel tus.

@@AsianPetrolhead if you get in touch with the Kia personnel, please do convey the fact that the we Indians are watching the Korean spec models (thanks for your channel) and comparing with ours and ours felt very cheap compared to Korean specs. Our interiors with plank like ugly infotainment screen with Bluetooth logo and mid screen felt cheap compared to Korean Spec. Even the ac vents feels cheap in design. We deserve better....

2.0 non turbo with CVT transmission available over here in the states. I like the 2.0 have it in my 2019 Soul + but not sure about the CVT. Really like the 6 speed auto in my Soul and can’t understand why the 7 speed dual clutch isn’t also available with the 2.0 in the Seltos.

Asian Petrolhead I haven’t driven a Seltos with the CVT yet but I have a 2016 Chevy Spark (Daewoo) also and I absolutely hate the CVT and won’t buy another CVT transmission. I do love my 2019 Soul. It’s my second Soul. Had a 2014 Soul 1.6 non turbo and it was fabulous. Traded it for this 2019 Soul. KIA makes the best compact cars in the industry!

How bout the dct.. i heard that theres many complaint bout the trasmision durability in india.. its get hot easily at heavy traffic.. can someone explain.. im kinda hooked up on this car.. but still hesitant boht the dct system.. cant decide between mitsubishi eclipse cross or kia seltos...

Well, i drove the press car for three days throwing around corners and doing MPG test on city heavy traffic, but i didn't see any problem with overheating DCT. But because of the nature of DCT, you can feel a bit unsmoothness from the transmission in heavy traffic. Thank you Hendry. And please do support us by subscribing. Thank you.

@@AsianPetrolhead thanks for the reply.. subscribed already.. btw theres a dedicated forum ive just recently found out bout the kia seltos problems.. others than just a sparepart availabilty or little bit of techincal defect.. but one major concern from that india based forum is the overheating of the dct.. i suppose the company itself acknowledge that issues thats why theres a trans temp indicator on the mid... Please look it up sir.. maybe in another video u can show the pros and cons of this dct system..
