2020 Kia Telluride: Andie the Lab Review!

Nice video, when I am ready to turn in my adventure card and get a grocery getter, it would be this for sure over pretty much anything else in they category. Love the Telluride. But, not there yet, still need something that can hit some trails. Plus need some time let the Korean vehicles get their resale values to catch up to their quality. So after watching your video on the 4Runner, I put a deposit on one. Very nice presentation and content.

Unless you can import it from North America you'll be restricted in your choice to the Hyundai Palisade. Unlike the Telluride it's aimed at international markets.

Telluride has 70 horses less compared to Borrego. That's a big difference. But, would it be that big difference for a daily driven SUV which will spent most of the time in the city? Not everyone needs all the power of V8 and V6 is pretty okay for normal driving. It's the era of down sizing. Also, there are several V6 that is as much powerful as V8 these days.

The Kia Telluride really has amazing interior design. Roof ceiling AC vents, Heated and Ventilated AC seat options, with plenty of USB ports is brilliant. The extra wide Apple Carplay screen is cool and works well with the additional camera software tech. The Kia Telluride, Hyundai Palisades, Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and Subaru Ascent are in a 5 horse race for the best value 3 row SUV. Andy has plenty of room to relax

If it's space for your Golden that's critical, you might want to take a close look at the KIA Sorento, the Telluride's slightly smaller sibling. Our Goldendoodle loves his.

I have a dog whose second home is the back seat of the family's vehicles. Rear seat HVAC is an absolute requirement that I'm surprised that more manufacturers don't recognize.

Impressive review of an impressive vehicle. We're not in the market for the Telluride. We own our second KIA Sorento purchased last year and it's the perfect size for our family of two adults, a teenage daughter, and a big dog. (A "Goldendoodle.") Besides, I'd have to pry my wife's cold dead fingers from the Sorento's steering wheel to get her to give up her daily driver. Nonetheless, you made a couple of comments that reminded me of my wife's oft stated remark about the Sorento. "When I was getting used to the car and even now when I wonder how to accomplish some unfamiliar task, I ask myself what's the logical way to do it. That's always the answer and I never have to look it up in the owner's manual." KIA is remarkable in the quality of their ergonomic design. I'd also second your comment about KIA's adaptive cruise control, the same system on the Sorento and the Telluride. I've owned vehicles with cruise control for years but frankly I always thought that adaptive cruise control was something of a gimmick. No more. In addition to its role as my wife's daily driver the Sorento is our family truckster for trips. I've been impressed by how much more relaxing it is to use ACC compared to simple cruise control on crowded high speed freeway slogs. I'd estimate it extends the range between rest stops by about a third and I arrive from a full day of driving without feeling I need a drink and a bed. And comparing its performance to ACC on my GTI, the KIA's system is simply better. That suggests that all ACC systems aren't created equal. The Telluride isn't the ideal vehicle for everyone, of course. As I said, we don't usually need its greater interior space. And when we occasionally chauffeur a gaggle of teenagers around town or need to transport six or seven passengers to a local event the third row seating in the Sorento means we don't have to take two vehicles. (Surprisingly, the third row of the Sorento is nearly as accommodating as the Telluride.) But if we were a larger family that needs room for those passengers AND their gear/luggage for a trip the Telluride is an excellent alternative to a minivan. Finally, I only recently discovered your channel. Kudos. Information packed and entertaining. And our dog, Dug, sends his congratulations, as well. He's the only dog I've ever owned that responds to videos and TV shows that include other dogs and he barks excitedly whenever Andie appears.

Entertaining and so was the review. I actually ordered this very same model. I’m downsizing from a Sequoia. But while waiting for my Telluride, I’ve gained an interest in the 2020 Ford Explorer ST. Have you driven this? Anything you didn’t like about the Telluride? Power? What dealer in MD did you work with? I’m northern Balt Cnty.

We get our vehicles from the manufacturer, so no dealers. Also, Ford has not agreed to let us test vehicles with Andie yet! There was nothing glaringly upsetting about the Telluride. I know alot of people don't like the rear design, but when you're sitting on the inside, you don't see it. Plus I didn't mind it all that much at all.

Towing capacity is 5000 lbs. The same as its fraternal twin the Hyundai Palisade that's aimed at international markets. (The Telluride is built in the US and aimed solely at North American markets.) It's adequate for many tasks but the Dodge Durango is the champ in terms of towing capacity among midsize three row crossovers rated at 7800 lbs. (Some versions of the Jeep Grand Cherokee have significantly greater towing capacity than the Telluride/Palisade, as well.) On the other hand, the 2020 Explorer with RWD and RWD-biased AWD is rated at only 5300-5600 lbs, a major disappointment considering that RWD is supposed to improve towing capacity substantially. The Lincoln Aviator with the same engine/transmission and RWD platform as the Explorer is rated at 6700 lbs, apparently only because it comes with a class IV hitch rather than the Explorer's class III hitch.

I didn’t catch you saying about the model but I noticed that SX badge so it’s the top trim. With AWD it must fetch about $45,000. That’s a lot. The EX would be closer to the average buyer’s budget. The Telluride might be commanding a premium due to popularity., (I hate negotiating). I also didn’t catch your impression of how it handles. A lot of these big SUVs can be bus-like road manners. Fun review.

Andie the Lab I know how difficult make content is but you have a great presenting style, a great USP and hats of to the editor. You are doing something very right as you are getting the cars to review. Being a smaller channel I find getting cars here in the uk incredibly difficult. You can not approach manufacturers as the channel is too small and have to get cars from dealerships but the economy is a mess with Brexit and sales are not great.do you so presenting as a living or had some media training
