It actually uses water and it has good wash action. I would actually consider buying this washer I’m genuinely impressed

Yes it has a very good wash action when using the modes that use more water in the tub.. This washer seems to be a wolf in sheep's clothing.. On the Normal Default mode it barely will use any water and the wash action is not so good. I imagine this is done to be compliant with the federal laws. But once you move from the Normal cycle into some of the other cycles, you can make this thing have a wash action that is on par with the best old school top loaders there was. And the tub size is so big it actually probably uses more water than the old school top loaders...

Glad it was helpful! I was surprised that the Bedding Cycle filled the tub with water all the way up over the agitator fins. Perhaps I could have washed 2 or 3 times more bedding than what I put in there. Next time, I will try to add my kids sheets and pillow cases in as well and see if the load still will turn over.

I have the model with the impeller in white (model WT7300CW) and I have used the Bedding cycle for a down alternative sleeping bag, a reversible sherpa-fleece plush warm berber blanket, and a down alternative medium fill weight all season comforter I purchased on Amazon, and the washer handles each item relatively well, and I use cold water regardless of what I am washing since it is energy efficient

You actually also have to use medium spin because high or extra high doesn’t work.

I plan on adding many more cycle videos for this model. When I was researching this unit I could not find a lot of info and and videos, so I told my self that I would fill the gap. I wanted to actually get the white model with the clear glass so that it would be easier to shot through, but my wife would not have it.. She wanted the grey one...

Comforters come in various thicknesses and densities so its hard for me to say if yours will fit. A better judge would be if you have the tub size that you use to currently clean it, then compare it to the tub size of this unit.

I washed a king sized comforter in this model...easy. Just choose the bedding option.

This is something new for LG. Historically LG hadn't made washers with agitators in them even though LG is a leader in the washing machine industry. So for them, after all this time not producing an agitator washer, to invest resources to design, engineer, and make available a new top load washer with an agitator is raising a few eyebrows. What did they realize after making some of the best front load washers with out an agitator that would justify the expense to create this top loader with an agitator? Very interesting indeed.

Just the other day I ran the heavy duty cycle with following options: heavy soil, deep fill, extra high spin, with turbo wash enabled. It took 8 minutes to fill the tub with water all the way to silver cap on top of the agitator. Once the tub filled, the wash motion lasted another 57 minutes. The Smartrinse jet spray cycle ran for 10 minutes. Then the spin cycle ran for another 10 minutes. So that was a total of 1 hour 25 minutes.. If you run the same cycle without the Turbo Wash feature enabled add about 20 minutes to that.. In this instance if I would have not selected turbo wash, the rinse cycle would have filled the tub with water and did a traditional rinse agitation and drain.. the 10 minute SmartRinse Jetspay rinse that I mentioned is a feature of the Turbo Wash function .... I hope all that made sense to you.. let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for the info. I had my mind made up to get a commercial Maytag washer but was hesitant b/c of the small size (3.5). I am really considering getting this LG agitator washer b/c you can fill it with water and it actually seems to agitate the clothes and it seems faster than most.

I have ran the default normal turbo wash cycles a few time and the clothes are clean. But it may be just a mind thing, why I prefer to use the Deep Wash Cycle. The Deep Wash cycle will fill the tub about half way with water. If I then enable the Deep Fill option I can get the tub to fill to about 3 inches below the Chrome Cap. If I enable the Deep Fill Max option I can get the tub to fill all the way to the Chrome cap. The tub is so big, most of the time I just use the Deep Wash cycle with out Deep Fill enabled. An agitator is the center white column with the fins. It aids in the wash action by rotating back and forth, rolling garments from the top of the load, down to the bottom, then back up again. LG describes their agitator as "4 Way", with "specially designed fins" and that their "unique 4-way wash action moves clothes left and right, up and down for a thorough yet gentle clean". Historically LG hadn't made washers with agitator in them even though they are a leader in the washing machine industry. So for them, after all this time not producing an agitator washer, to engineer a top load washer with an agitator is raising a few eyebrows. LG has a reputation of spending a lot of time researching and developing a product before they release it. So they most likely have invested a lot of resources to make a brand new type of washer for them, when they are already one of the leading manufacturers of front load washers.

They definitely could've added more laundry, at least it's is in the water though! I don't understand all the machines that only fill 1/2 the tub & then there is no agitator? I don't see how the clothes are even getting cleaned lol?!
