What's really needed is a custom setting where you can set everything. Cycle length, water temp, etc. All the included cycles have something I would prefer to adjust.

HORRIBLE whoever came up with these type MACHINES !
For what it’s worth. The people who comment “Mine works flawlessly” are not only unhelpful, they are plain lucky. I only use these systems for talkback during sound check or guest announcements, where dropouts are not going to be completely unacceptable. In addition to dubious sound quality (in a vacuum, probably not as noticeable in a room), they are the first units to struggle in any crowded RF environment amongst all our wireless gear.
@johnlandacre767Ай бұрын
This isn’t brain surgery. Agitators have been working well on many different brands for 75 years. Why can an old washer from the 60s still do a great job pulling clothes down in the water over and over, and this new machine barely gets the clothes pulled down in the water, and gives poorer results? And costs much more, and is prone to failure due to useless technology? No excuse for poor quality washers with planned obsolescence. Manufacturers need to review the technologies of 50 years ago and ditch the current poor quality machines once and for all.
@clemsonblokeАй бұрын
This looks like a piece of shit. It doesn't even agitate and move the clothes around properly. The old washers were much better, these are shit!

@attleviАй бұрын
Not worth it. Takes way to long to pull clothes to the bottom. The intermittent spinning to assess load balance is unnecessary. The long slow rotation of the agitator causes the clothes to struggle . The tech from the Kenmore 80 series wins hands down. A true dual agitator with shorter & faster strokes moved clothes to bottom several times in the wash cycle. If i could have my own custom built machine, i would revise my kenmore with larger blades , larger tub to accommodate a California King comfortor, unrestricted water flow(house pressure) and the true temperature from your water heater, deep fill, soak for both wash and rinse cycle for Lysol Sanitize ( it needs 16 minutes of surface contact in the rinse cycle which none of these machines do),900 RPM spin, extra rinse, lastly , a targeted water spicket aimed at the tub & agitator to rinse them in a slow spin as the machine is draining in preparation for the spin cycle. This is important because of the buildup of scum on the agitator and the outer tub . Using a stainless steel tub only bandaides the problem and presents a illusion of clean. It explains why your Whites are dingy because its picking up the leftover film from the previous colored wash. If people are going to pay over a grand in a frontloader junk , at least rival the junk with a top of the line high quality top loader with the modifications listed backed with a real 5 year warranty that covers parts & labor on the whole machine & watch them fly off the shelf. Thats how you make America great...Quality I bought a GE 485 something with a glass lid from Lowes with a true dual agitator. Its the closest thing to my old Kenmore. It effectively washed my comfortor set fully rotating several times during the cycle. The key to any wash is ample water , not the smallest amount. If GE used my modification listed on the next model. I would upgrade in a heart beat. Some are concerned of price yet many paid full price on an iphone upgrade. We want what we want & will pay for quality.

So the pink blanket thing is washed to death and the oven mitt is floating around on the edge and never gets properly washed. Poor agitator design. Washing machines in the USA seem to have got worse as the years have passed. The machines of the 50's and 60's did a better job than this!!
@hiphop3602 ай бұрын
@multimill You are correct, but you should understand why this has happened. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) is a federal agency responsible for shaping and implementing national energy policies. Established in 1977, the DOE's primary objectives include ensuring America's energy security, promoting energy efficiency, advancing scientific research, and addressing environmental challenges related to energy production and use. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) played a significant role in the changes to residential washing machines through the implementation of energy efficiency standards. These standards, aimed at reducing energy and water consumption, have influenced the design and performance of modern washing machines compared to older models. Here’s how the DOE’s involvement affected washing machines: Energy Efficiency Standards: The DOE set minimum energy efficiency requirements for appliances, including washing machines. These standards were part of a broader effort to reduce energy consumption in households and decrease greenhouse gas emissions. As a result, manufacturers had to redesign washing machines to meet these standards, often leading to reduced water usage and lower energy consumption. Water Usage: Modern washing machines are designed to use significantly less water than older models. While this conserves water, it can also impact the washing performance, especially with heavily soiled clothes. Older machines used more water, which allowed for better rinsing and agitation, but at the cost of higher water and energy usage. Detergent and Agitation Changes: To meet the DOE's efficiency standards, many modern machines use high-efficiency (HE) detergents and more efficient, but sometimes gentler, agitation methods. This can result in longer wash cycles or the perception that clothes aren't as thoroughly cleaned, particularly in machines that prioritize water and energy savings over washing power. Impact on Consumer Perception: Some consumers have reported that newer washing machines don't clean as well as older models, attributing this to the reduced water usage and altered washing mechanics required to meet DOE standards. However, this trade-off is part of a broader push toward sustainability and energy conservation. While the DOE’s standards have driven advancements in energy and water efficiency, they have also led to adjustments in washing machine performance that some consumers find less effective compared to older, less efficient models.

You should try their new PTA-U2. "PTA" is their flagship models, these are not.
@hiphop3602 ай бұрын
PTAU-2 Ch1 512 - 536 MHz. Ch2 537 - 562 MHz. PTU-2U Channel 1: 530.025MHz - 555MHz. Channel 2: 550.025MHz - 580MHz PTU-1U. Single Channel only 555-580MHz So the new PTAU-2 device has a lower selectable frequency for ch1 but has lost some of higher frequency range for Channel 2.. In the environment that I was testing in, when I input that location into the available frequency tools, it shows that only clean frequencies I have available in the range of the PTAU-2 would be in th 512 - 548 range.. So that looks promising... I may have to get one of these new units and test it out.

The only thing impressive about this washer is the very high-speed final spin. My 40 year-old Whirlpool direct drive washer would have finished this load in about 30-35 minutes. I've said it before and will say it again: I hope to never buy a new washer. I can have my Whirlpool completely rebuilt - top to bottom - for around $400, and it'll be ready to go for another 40+ years.

I would love if an LG Engineer could comment and describe exactly why the machines pauses so much.. What data is it actually gathering... Is it weighing the clothes, is it checking the water temperature? Is it calculating how much torque it should use to agitate the clothes???? I would love to know exactly...

Good review. I have a few different Phenyx Pro systems and I've never had any issues until this past week in one of my tour locations. BUT.. I had 6 wireless mics being used by rappers who were walking around everywhere in front of each other and across the speakers, and people standing in front of the receiver. So not only was there a lot of wireless gear being used, but also line of sight was blocked. I used the PTU-2U as my go to mic for all my performances and I have never had any issues with it at all. Only time was the one I just explained.

Interesting. I got the PTU 2U yesterday and tested the range and had no such issues. I wonder if you have a bad unit? Also, underneath the battery cover, there is a frequency signal strength switch that you can turn to High or Low. The Low setting is meant to produce a weaker signal to preserve battery life. I wonder if your mic was on Low?

I just picked up the PTU-2U for use in gigs that are in much smaller venues than your church. Mostly to reduce the number of cables I have to coil at the end of the gig. I’ll have to see how it goes. All my IEM transmitters are Sennheiser and I do intend to get Sennheiser wireless mics at some point in the not too distant future, but for now, I figured the Phenyx would get me by. We’ll have to see how it hoes.
@harvestfaith83595 ай бұрын
First, thank you for the example of possible dropouts, which would be the case of any system that a "clean" frequency is not available or is very crowded. So, thanks for admitting that. Saying this, what appears to be the issue is the broader increments of frequency tuning of the PTU, which then, could render it unusable in situations where other systems can lock-on due to tighter increment tunning, especially as with the EW line. This demonstration is bringing me to a different purchase decision. Value is non-existent when the quality of production lowers my credibility of reliability.
