So what do you think of the all-new Corsair? What's your choice in this ultra-competitive segment? - Max

TheDriveGuyde I think the grand touring and black label editions are going to be stellar

Doesn't it go against the BMW X1? The Nautilus goes against the BMW X3
@christopherstreet22144 жыл бұрын
RON H no the nautilus competes with X5 and the Corsair competes with X3 ... while the aviator is in limbo as it’s still considered a mid size three row crossover - which kinda competes with X7 or a three row X5 but for sure a Volvo XC90 ... the navigator competes with the X7 but the navigator is a bigger truck based suv rather than a crossover. And the X7 is actually based on the X5 and not the 7 series platform - I think Lincoln will make a SUV based on the new ranger platform that is debuting on the Bronco platform that will compete with GLS, G WAGEN and X7 squarely ... and the navigator will move further up market

It is not a “Ford Escape underneath”; they share a platform along with other Ford vehicles.

Love it.....not cool with price
@Brandon-xp1ob4 жыл бұрын
Starting off by saying it's a Ford escape underneath just seems like such an unnecessary thing to say. Just say that they share platforms and that's it. No need to emphasize that. They've done an outstanding job building a different car than Ford. Great job Lincoln
@rustlesee4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure why, but it seems many car reviewers always heavily compare Lincoln to Ford. Yet I rarely here that for Lexus and Toyota. Or Acura and Honda. Same could be said about the old Lincoln naming of vehicles. Why is it okay for Acura and Lexus, or other luxury brands, but not Lincoln? Don't get me wrong, I love the new naming they are using. But it just always seems sone reviewers ride Lincoln harder than others. 🤷🏼♂️
@Taurusboy074 жыл бұрын
Russell C you are very correct. I don’t understand why reviewers do that. Let’s not get on VW. They share many platforms with their siblings Porsche and Audi.

I was thinking that the entire time ... al, the reviews are like that and I am like the other brands get to just skate by ... poor Lincoln they are working so hard to get slapped with a Ford comment in the first sentence by the reviewers
@kjdinoc4 жыл бұрын
So agree. It's getting so old now I wish Lincoln would just stop giving cars to people that can't help themselves from comparing thier vehicles to Ford. I just don't understand it. If they did it to all the others than maybe it would make sense. Lexus is a Toyota, Infinity is a Nissan, Porsche and Audi are all just fancy VW's. And don't forget of course Cadillac is just a Chevy with lipstick on. Who else, lets see. Land Rover, Ranger Rover, Jaguar are all cheap TaTa's. On another note. My totally tech challenged 80 year old Mother was able to deal with the dash buttons with minimal confusion.

This is an excellent video; however, I hate hearing all the comparison with the Ford Escape. I've had a Ford Escape which was the squeakiest car I ever owned. I've test driven the Lincoln Corsair a couple times and LOVE it. My wife has the Lincoln Nautilus and we both love it.
@tomtalker20003 жыл бұрын
Well i have the old iteration a 2015 Lincoln MKC AWD with the 2.0. And i absolutely love the vehicle it's the best car i've ever owned. I think Ford as a "whole" has REALLY upped there game over the last 10yrs or so. I'm not crazy about this new design. However, i did like the minor refresh for 2019 and the new grille. And honestly folks if your in the market for this vehicle there isn't that much difference between the 2.0 and the 2.3L engines. I test drove both and found it very minimal between the two. Even though were talking about 240hp vs 285hp and 270lbs torque vs 305 for the 2.3L engine. If anything it was the horsepower i felt more then the torque differences. But honestly the 2.0 is MORE then sufficient in power and torque.

I've been driving a 2020 Corsair Standard model (moderately equipped) for about a week while my Aviator is in for warranty repairs. I'm incredibly impressed with it. It's terrific looking. The little 2.0 is exceptionally smooth with more-than-enough power than it needs, the transmission shifts imperceptibly, the auto start/stop is the most unobtrusive I've ever encountered and it's very quiet on the highway. Terrific little truck.

Apparently Lincoln is making a more competitive luxury compact CUV, than Ford is making a mainstream compact CUV. I won’t even consider a Escape next to a RAV-4. I would consider this Corsair next to any small luxury CUV. Looks and design and luxury are all appropriate for Corsair and all subpar for Escape.

This Corsair is a fantastic beautiful Luxury SUV. I test drove and looked over the Lexus RX350, BMW X3, Range Rover and the GLC...and each of them had hard plastic on the door panels or piano black on the console or dash. So I don't quite understand why these reviewers try to make it seem as though the Corsair is the only Luxury SUV with hard plastic and piano in places...I don't get it.

Much nicer than any thing you can get from other lux vehicles for around 42000 well equiped after rebates and dealer discount. We just ordered a 2021 standard AWD with heated and cooled leather seats .Nav , Panaramic sun roof and 19 inch wheels for 41500.. This car was put together really well . It is unbelievably quiet and has decent power . The interior did not look cheap at all and was way nicer than the competition at this price point . Also the German and Asian cars do not offer decent discounts and financing

So what is the Lincoln Nautilus competing with if this small CUV is competing with the X3, GLC, etc.. The wheelbase of the Corsair is too small. I think it’s only 106.5. That sounds like Lexus NX or Cadillac XT4 size.
@maxlandireviews4 жыл бұрын
As a midsize 5-seater, the Nautilus competes with the X5 and GLE for size. Although the Nautilus wouldn’t compare well to those much more modern vehicles
@sasothestrategizer4 жыл бұрын
TheDriveGuyde So are you trying to say based on seat configuration competition is decided from that? The BMW can also be bought as a seven seater. The Lincoln Aviator has a wheelbase more align with the X5 and GLE. Otherwise you’re saying that the Aviator competes with the X7. So what would the Navigator compete with?
@maxlandireviews4 жыл бұрын
GLS and X7 although the German's aren't as spacious, they're still full-size SUV's
@christopherstreet22144 жыл бұрын
sasothestrategizer the aviator is considered a midsize 7 seat ... so it competes with X5 three row, Volvo XC90, Q7 and a black label could be cross shopped with a X7 or GLS but that’s not it’s target

Interesting vehicle. It looks impressive. But the price point is... ‘somewhat’ high. After all, looking at historical resale values.... this after 4 years will retain far less value, than a Lexus. Even when compared to the Germans. This or a Telluride/Palisade? Let alone their new GV80. Thanks for the video.
