2020 Mazda CX-30 Review - The BEST Small Crossover

Didn't know there was so much hate on CVTs until my transmission started failing on me at 75k miles. I just bought a brand new one of these in the machine grey and I absolutely love it. Not as fast as my Juke was but I'm still overall happy.

Bought this over the Mazda3 Hatchback because of the extra ground clearance. Living in New Orleans, the streets are so bad you need it. Great review, live this vehicle.

Canadian top model has a heated steering wheel with heated mirrors and heated wipers which is beautiful for the winters here. I really love my CX-30 and i got mine in the metallic silver color.

This is definitely my pick! I have been binge watching cx30 videos and still this is my favorite. I have 2010 kia forte ex so it's time and this is the one. I'm thinking of the select cx30 but sure would like those Bose speakers 😊. Can you let us know when and if there are leaks for 2021 cx30? Great video 👍

Nice review! I got this over the 3 hatch (and I had a 2014 and 2017 3 hatch, loved them both) due the the roomier, lighter interior (there's definitely more headroom in the back in the CX-30. They went with an all black interior for the 3 and it just felt too dark inside) and it was more expensive to lease the premium 3 hatch than it was to lease the premium CX-30. Yeah, the cladding sucks, but some colors hide it better than others. If they used the black wheels on this like they did on the 3 hatch, it'd look so much better.

Good Review, but is the relatively old six speed automatic still fast enough compared to competitors like VW(T-Rock),KIA(X-Ceed) with Dual Clutch Transmissions and the suspension much or only a little bit softer than for example in the Mazda3?

The transmission is quick enough for those shopping in this segment. Def not DCR fast. The suspension is a little softer than the 3 but not by much

So many auto journalist are hating CVT but people loves buying it. I don't understand it, consumer are not listening to the expert's advice. Anyway I love this car too, Mazda product in particular.👌 👌 😀 😀

My 4.6L V8 gets 20+ combined mpg. Mazda should do either a turbo or diesel CX-30.

They should make the turbo version of the engine available across the entire lineup. They stick that engine in everything anyway, so why not give us the choice of having it crank out more power?

19.2 average is not pretty good gas mileage for any vehicle except maybe a truck or large heavy SUV. It is a pretty car though with a classy interior.

S S I personally prefer sedans and hatchbacks but seeing everyone driving SUV's I don’t wanna get run over by them lol. So also bought an SUV but don’t like it, its wobbly and In turns, I feel like I’m gonna roll over. I don’t understand why people like them so much. It’s awful to drive, u not hauling anything with it and u don’t need so much car to just carry a couple of people.

Haven't driven the Kia Seltos yet but I'm pretty sure the Mazda CX-5 is a little more luxurious on the inside than the Seltos in terms of materials and quality

True Im not sure why all the photos and videos do a terrible job of showing this vehicle. Looks much better in person, and I feel the cladding its as noticeable in person. Probably due to editing of photos and such.

The only single problem I have is the screen way too small. It should be bigger since it’s far away. Back up camera only half of the screen. Super disappointed as a huge Mazda fan

Really too bad that it has only a mild hybrid instead of a full hybrid. That for me was the only dealbreaker while doubting between this one and Toyota C-HR. Also given that this is not a full hybrid and C-HR is, I don't think it can be compared.
