Right? She's a teenager and from what they know, she's never had to deal with fixing anything. Plus, there was a tornado forming right infront of her. No shot she'd be able to focus on fixing some camera for a really rude photographer.

Him saying “I wish I found free money when it stormed” reminded me of the time in high school (I was color guard w the band) when we were at an away game and it was storming so bad we had to leave and as they were hurrying us out I found a soaking wet envelope on the ground and I put it in my pocket and when I got on the bus I opened it (it kinda just fell apart) and it had $40 in it

I hate to say this but a lot of professors who do not make tenure are in fact fired. Also I've seen what many professors have to go through to get a publication, it's not easy. Publishing is one of those things that are easier said than done.
