I’ve had Merc’s and BM’s and I love both but have to admit BMW’s simply drive better than anything else in class although I think the Merc interior has it. I’m ordering a new X5 as I believe it’s an all round winner.

I tested the GLE over the weekend. It has a lot of power and presence but the quality of assembly and materials inside the car is disappointing and there is a lot of road and wind noise. So I checked and found that there is talk about it on KZbin. It turns out that this vehicle is manufactured in America (Alabama) and intended for the American market. All the comments in the video are from those who purchased the vehicle and complain about poor plastic and rattling noises. There is a significant difference in the assembly quality of a Mercedes that is made in Germany or America or Hungary.

I had a bmw x5 and yes it drives beautiful. But even though it was a brand new car, less than a year later it started giving me a lot of electrical problems and it was mostly at the dealer shop and I was driving a loaner. Now I have a mercedes and I've owned it for almost 3 years now and all I can say is an amazing car. Never had any problems with it and it still runs great. For me personally I have a way better experience with the mercedes and that's a 💯% fact. My next car is still going to be a Mercedes Benz, Simply because I had ZERO issues with it and I enjoy driving it daily. That's just my personal opinion.

GLE rear glass pillar puts me off. Makes it look like a truck with a glass top.

BMW unique tiger look outperform the shape of GLE. If you want to check efficiency and driving performance just try them. X5 for me personally is winner because of Look Power Torque Zf gearbox Bigger X drive system *Mercedes GLE drives like a VAN *Because engine is the same as Vito BMW feeling is much more light and sporty for an suv. Mercedes using a lot of copies like the people mentioned in comments that they copied parts of Audi.

The comparison is good but you can't tell why this is good or bad during comparison such like how the car manufacturer design the interior and exterior. Not everyone agree what you like and what you dislike. Design is subjective to everyone.

The BMW interiors design lags that of Merc by 5 years+. Given you sit in a car when you use the car, there’s no way I’d go for X5 instead of GLE.

@@mikeyshanghai9801 maybe because they need the cargo space of an SUV? I drove both, GLE350, X5 x40i, Q7 Premium Plus and Range Rover Sport HSE and ended up buying the X5. I felt the X5 offered the best comfort, drive and aesthetics.
