Great review, the best I've seen so far! Comprehensive, frank, sincere and very honest, seen from and empathizing with a lay buyer's perspective! And not from a pedestal or high horse as most established auto hacks have, almost damning this brilliantly conceived product from Nissan, that threatens to disrupt this uber-focussed segment and wreck the sleep of the Koreans who've been ripping off customers' wallets! Just wish the CVT had a tiptronic variant, and paddle shifters too, to take this a notch higher! Here's also hoping Nissan gets their act on market presence and after-sales support corrected at the earliest, as well as the initial pre-production road test prototype niggles that have been ranted about from seemingly prejudiced quarters.

Yes, the car does feel light when on high speeds and in corners. That is also because of the steering feel. Let's wait for the official crash test reports to comment on the build quality.

@@20402928 Well, the Creta is a far more superior product in comparison. A full segment above. The Creta will be a more mature car and should age well, and with better resale. If the primary objective is to save the money, then the Magnite makes sense. For everything else, the Creta is better.

Even I have exactly same requirement , but only worry about jazz is ground clearance , right outside my apartment in Bangalore there is huge hump every time a jazz or any Honda cars pass it scratches on bump unless until u make very slow move. Other thing is Jazz doesn't have traction control and hill hold , if you are first time driver then roads with steep ups and downs will be challenging in Jazz

I was waiting for this car. What do you think EcoSport Diesel, Scross Zeta, Sonet HTE Diesel, Nexon XZ Diesel vs MAgnite XV petrol for comparison. I will be having 1500 km average travel per month. 2-3 traveller and occasional 5 passenger's for commute. Importance to safety, maintenance cost, reliability and I plan to use for 7 years.

Wow seems hyundai is doing a better job with it's steerings . I am confused . Could u help me out? I need a car mostly for city purpose . Performance is important so is city driving convince and if it rides and handles well and also can be used for occasion hill trips . I like the i10 nios turbo sportz but it's a manual . And the magnite because of it's pricing we can get if we pay a bit more and also convenience of a cvt . Also like the figo seems like they are bringing the petrol torque converter soon and the figo has excellent driving dynamics that i know off . So should i wait some more time ? Are even better hatchbacks comin or choose from one of the above?

Hi! All points are as per experience at the very moment. Suspension wasn't uncomfortably stiff. It was OK for the class. May be the tyre pressure was a bit off on other cars? Few of us had no problem with the suspension tune at all.
