This video has good information which is hard to find on this trans. I am planning on doing a partial fluid change soon as my truck gets to 50,000 hope that will keep it from having problems later.😛

Thanks for this video and information. My only request would have been to include video in the beginning of the issue. To demonstrate the problem. Over all a very good video. Thanks for the content.

I am so stressed out about my brand new transmission of my brand new 2023 Titan P4X after seeing this video. I feel like I need to get the OEM fluid out of the system asap and replace with a Mercedes spec fluid. But it seems like a huge pain in the behind to get it flushed and replaced. I need help.

Great video very well done and it is informative. I have a 23 Frontier, man love the truck, but the goofy acting transmission...wonder if it is the same problem??
@contractorhomesАй бұрын
It could be the same problem. These nissan transmissions are horrible, and the frontiers were also subject to the issues. I would go to the dealer since you still have warranty and have them check it out. Although the dealer may not tell you the truth and may say that it is your fault when it's really not 😐.

Wow that fluid is very dark, maybe more frequent changes would help...

I'm surprised you have this made in America truck out in polska, do you have good support from any mechanics besides the dealer? Last time I was there I didn't see many Japanese brands outside of Warsaw 🤷

Not too many mechanics know things about the titan, which is really disappointing

I shared this on a Facebook group Nissan Titan(2016-2024) hopefully it helps owners out. I really wanted to purchase a 22 or 23 Titan but now I’m not sure. Do you think all 2020 -2024 will have this problem Eventually?Maybe this is why they stopped the production of the Titan and have a great warranty.
@contractorhomes9 ай бұрын
The most reports of this issue were on the 2020-21 titan maybe they fixed this issue. I think the titan just doesn't interest people too much which is why they are discontinuing it. And if they have a good warranty, they usually means they are confident in their products so I dont think this problem is why they have a good warranty
@robhayes53209 ай бұрын
Thanks for your feedback really appreciate it !What was your warranty on the truck back in 2020?
@contractorhomes9 ай бұрын
My warranty was 5 years 100k miles. The truck has 112k miles now so warranty is expired

@Mach141 changing your transmission oil set by the manufacturer isn't important really? Yea it could have a lot to do with it
@timchiriac719411 ай бұрын
@Mach141 you don't have to buy nissan fluid you can buy atf, you or I didn't build nissan jatco transmissions the manufacturer built them, from what I understood nissan saids to change at 30k miles if you are abusing the transmission towing dusty conditions stop and go city driving 50k max for highway driving not a lot of stop and go, in my recent cars I've always changed ny transmission fluid at 30k miles and never had issues take that as you will.
@timchiriac719411 ай бұрын
@Mach141 but you can read the owners manual for more info they built the thing they know what their talking about

Hey i have the same issue i ordered all the valve body and seals but im having a hard time getting the drain and fill tools how did you get them ?
@contractorhomes9 ай бұрын
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0BNWWBP31/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Above is the link to the tool kit for draining and filling. If you have trouble accessing the link, it's on Amazon. Type 9 speed automatic transmission drain tools for mercedes. Mercedes-Nissan are connected and have the same transmission, so tools are compatible with each other. You can make a fill device on your own like we did. Simply buy a pump like in the video, and from home depot, buy a clear tube and valve to open and close to control the flow of the new oil. Use a lighter heat up the tube to make it slide into the valve and pump easier.
