Compared to their VW bretheren, it seems a bit lack luster but a big improvement for sure. The much more up to date design language is nice to see.

I was dissapointed when I tried it today. I'm 182 cm. and 73 kg. The seat would fit me better if I was 120 kg. It's the same seat as the one in the lowest trim of the Peugeot 208 and can't get the AGR ones instead. It may be different in other countries though. And the AT also dissapointed; it worked well shifting upwards but was slow to gear down when I put the pedal down. I'll be getting the Renault Clio instead. I just wish the Clio looked like the Corsa because it really is the nicest looking of the two.

KIA Rio... well 2017, but Opel has had seven different models since 1994 with the same design theme as this one. But the shape of the taillight is forced by the fact that Opel is not allowed to change the basic form determined by Peugeot.

Good video but you need to work on your sound editing. The intro music was far too loud, you could hardly hear what was being said. Thomas's last review had the same problem too.

it's 2020 and the infotainment still lagging.... Can't they optimize it to be fluid? And the back space is very tight. It's not expected when you are at 1.7m, Seat Ibiza has a lot more space. in the back for the passengers and baggage

Hmmm when looking at the digital instruments, you can see the poor finish of the edge of the plastic on the top right of the screen. I wish Opel best success, we need strong competition and it's cool to see them have their own style

Probably it is because the factory has big problems to make the production work without problems and errors, PSA has broken down the entire factory way of working and functioning, everything is chaos, one has too few workers, most experienced workers have quit and they have a hard time recruiting new because PSA:s new working conditions and wages is worse than for agricultural workers. At the same time PSA require that they lower all manufacturing costs and are completely... disinterested in quality. One does not expect to be able to solve all these problems in the foreseeable future because they completely lack support from PSA.

@@stephen10. Zaragoza in Spain, now called Figueruelas by the PSA. I am an expert on Opel since 35 years and all this could be read in local Spanish newspapers who has written extensively about this. Similar problems also exist in the German factory in Eisenach which has taken over the production of Grandland, PSA has not invested in the factory as they promised and instead they have been forced to rebuild old machines and try to use what they could find to get the manufacturing going, PSA takes out profits from Opel but gives nothing back except empty promises and threat of moving production to Morocco. All this is very controversial and the management makes every effort to hide the serious internal conflicts. Right now a major crisis is underway at the main factory and office in Rüsselsheim because PSA refuses to invest there as well, in the future they promise, but the workers don't believe in that promise. In fact, behind the facade it is full chaos and civil war within Opel, the workers detest PSA while the management is absolutely loyal to Tavares.

Sharing a platform and engines with other car models is not unusual - in fact it is increasingly becoming the norm. All in all, virtually all of the exterior and interior parts are unique to the Corsa. We are sure you will also agree that the 208 and Corsa look completely different from the outside and they have completely different cabin concepts. And they are also completely different to drive. All the essential development of the Corsa was done by Opel engineers. Not just in Rüsselsheim, but of course also at our test center in Dudenhofen, on frozen lakes in northern Sweden, on the Nürburgring, and everywhere else we test and validate all of our vehicles.

@@Opel ive recently driven a grandland X ,compared to the gearbox in my Astra K it was like stirring a bowl of porridge and the handling was light years behind, just another dressed up P.S.A. product. My current Vauxhall Astra will be my last, i had NOTHING but trouble from the few FRENCH cars ive owned especially electrical i won't have another for sure.

While the basic engineering work on the CMP platform and powertrains was done at the Groupe PSA technical HQ in Velizy, all the essential development of the Corsa was done by Opel engineers.
