the position of the charger port can be tricky sometimes.
@autogefuel6 сағат бұрын
agreed, but it really depends on the positioning of the charging station. Personally i also prefer to have it in the rear cause you can then just reverse into position

@autogefuel one of the places I charge has the station on the right and the hose is somehow kept tight above by some steel wires.

Overall pretty good car, but it lacks polish in the infotainment system. UI feels unfinished like 3 different designers were putting it together without speaking. There definitely is potential for apps like Spotify, as they want to sell data plans, but there is nothing yet to spend that data on. Official Skoda Support's response to my question about secondary users in the app was to use a shared account in the app. The app itself is super weird and unresponsive. Some weirdness with sounds in interior panels, but that was fixed by the dealer under warranty. Other than that, it is a super good car, with a great range and feel.

I have the car for 2 months now and your review is 100% accurate in every way. Oh one slight correction. No need to put your sunglasses in the upper glove box as there is a place above your head for them. On a long run the combination of electric and petrol extends the electric range to about 200km as the car switches seamlessly between both. Had a Enyaq for over 3 years and liked it but I love this.

the Enyaq is a fantastic car, bascially everything that this Kodiaq offers, but in a full electric package. I really like this hybrid combo, its indeed seemless on the highway and offers basically everything youll ever realistically need in real life.

Sorry, it is very weak video. First it was worth showing 3 minutes of the swap from inside the car. Next point - what do you mean by fresh battery, 100% state of charge, 80%? What is the cost of the operation?
@autogefuel7 күн бұрын
there is nothing to see during the process apart from the car moving up and down on the jacks, the whole operation is shielded from view. Thomas did a long review on this car on the main channel 2 years ago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b3PYiIRmnclghJIsi=xxBZiRhcDstN2rr8 you can check @ 5:07 or 7:09 When you buy the car with the BAAS - Battery as a Service option, which means you are "leasing" the battery from NIO, only then you get to use the swapstation. I have looked at this as an alternative to a Tesla Model 3. The price is crazy high and I could not justify the costs in any way shape or form. Even as a taxi service this would probably be much more expensive than charging with Tesla. What I noticed is that these swap stations are completely abandoned whenever I'm at a Tesla Supercharger. Also it requires a staff member in the back room (they sit on a plastic chair all day with a crappy heater to keep them warm), these staff members aren't there 24/7 so forget about swapping outside of 'office hours'. Swapping works in theory, doesn't in practice.
@autogefuel8 күн бұрын
i didnt not see any staff members, this was done early sundaymorning. But the car did say you could contact nio-swap-service or something, so maybe they are now doing that remotely? i was really in and out in 4 minutes, so makes sense that there is nobody standing around, the "box" locks itself again as soon as you drive out. these cars are expensive indeed, there is no way around it :)
@nielsvandenkieboom50348 күн бұрын
@@autogefuel The staff member is in the back behind a closed door. I got a tour from the girl that was working there in Tilburg and she said that she had 0 people charging there in her (so far) 6 hour shift. This was in the first few weeks after the swap station opened.
@autogefuel8 күн бұрын
ouch, thats a rough job. i dont know how they manage that now, goodthing to ask NIO though!

LOL. WRONG! Nobody usually sits there, it's fully automated. On Gen 1 it had staff there, that's a long time ago. And on newer stations we are now at only 3 minutes for a health check of the battery and Swap!

Maybe the ones that will need to buy new batteries for their cars will see it differently, because that time will come. It can newer be upgraded either. But a lot of people will have to fear the day the battery needs to be exchanged ! With battery Swap possible it's no worries for ever.

I was really hyped for the CX60. Especially since there is an affordable Inline 6 diesel available. But I was a little disappointed. The overall build quality is good, but in detail there are a few things to mention. The sound of the doors (opening and closing) is far away from what you get when you buy a BMW. It feels a lot less premium than you would expect. Noisy interior. (windy noises and drive-train) There is also a slight light shakiness (I’m not native speaker so I don’t know how to describe) once you go over 40kph - when you go over 60 it blurs your vision in the outside mirrors. The infotainment is also not as good as the one in the BMW. It stops working from time to time (especially the HUD when your navigation system redirects you) Than there is the long list of problems with the CX60. - Total engine failures - emergency brake system failures - a lot of trouble in terms of electrical systems - suspension overall - AdBlue refilling issues - gasoline refilling issues The drivetrain isn’t as powerful as the data sheet suggests. Also it isn’t as quiet as the ones you get when you go for a German brand. The suspension (especially in high speed situations and windy conditions) feels almost life-threatening. I still think it’s a good looking car, but there is still something that divides the cars from one each other. And I still don’t believe, that an upgraded KONI Shock absorber would make the CX60 perform like a X3. I’m really sad about that, because I really wanted that CX60 so bad.

If you never bring something to market and then even say that when it finally will be sold in Europe (whenever that will be) it will only be the old version… for twice the price that the much improved new version is sold in China… That is not how you make life difficult for your competitors.

I have only had the car for 2 months and I went to Italy with the 1.0 TSI e-tec and I drove about 4000 km in 2 weeks, with 4 people and luggage. The car is very comfortable and on the highway I easily achieved 1 in 21. That was at the speeds that apply in France, Switzerland and Italy. The 1 liter engine was fine and of course it is nice to have a little more power, but it is not really necessary. I got out every time without back pain and I wasn't really tired either. I drove the entire trip in S mode because of the mountains and hills. In the Netherlands I drive in D and you have to learn how to 'sailing' as you can with the car, but it works excellently. I am very satisfied with the car.
