On a heavy haul application, why not do a double frame or a single half inch?
@Sinister_Reaper2 жыл бұрын
there's really no need, especially if you're using a jeep, you won't legally be able to load the truck heavy enough to need double walled frame, double walled frame is more or less needed for oilfields and off road trucks

@davidroberts65943 жыл бұрын
So many auto haters, it's your preference, heavy haul, in anything hilly with stops like west Virginia auto is the way to go, plus you can get a auto retarder which adds additional engine breaking, as well as continuous breaking to a stop, no clutch disengage with each downshift, all the way to a stop. Allison 4700 rated 600 hp and 2600lb torque, not going to break it.

Another nice one. How are the Allison's holding up?

Jersey Guy Unless something has Changed, 1850 Torque is the Highest Rating you can get with a Allison, doesn't matter if it is a 4500RDS or a 4700RDS which are both Heavy Application Transmissions. That's is information that a couple different Kenworth & Western Star Dealers have told Me when Spec'ing them. I was told that you Cannot Get a 2050TQ Motor with a Allison Transmission.
