I've had several t2000 Kenworth trucks with N-14 Cummins and with one inframe rebuild after one million miles. Those trucks went 2 million plus miles, the interior plastic components weren't totally new but they still functioned. Plastic works well for an interior material in a semi.

I worked for Peterbilt Mootors in Newark,Calif and Nashville,Tenn I designed a automated fuel tank welder that could weld both steel and aluminum fuel tanks using seam tracking technology in the 1970's.

I have a 99 Volvo with a 12.7 and 13speed !! Also have a 07 Coronado with a deleted 14 liter and 13 speed ...550 horse custom tune , done proper....will quit trucking if I ever had to buy a regen truck!!

Amazing how many people bashing this truck. Id hate to be the guy who has nothing better in life to hang his hat on than his “Hood” or his “shifter”. Ill take this truck and all the plastic that comes with it, plus an autoshift. Call me a steering wheel holder all you want, some people have plenty of other things to be proud of. This truck is damn nice. Any average person can make a 389 or w900 look good. It takes a real enthusiast to set one of these apart from the rest. Great Job Peterbilt.
