Yes, there's quite a bit of dive under hard braking. However, the suspension on the Sportsman S is adjustable. We are hoping some of the dive can be tuned out.

Man I cant decide on the sportsman or scrambler. Getting bored of trail riding on my 2017 kodiak 700. I've done the big 3 performance mods to it and still not anywhere near where I want Been trying to find a local dealer carrying the 2020 scrambler but no one around seems to be getting them in yet
@ATVonDemand5 жыл бұрын
If you like to ride hard a majority of the time and don't want to Halo a lot of gear go for the scrambler. If you like to do long rides at a more moderate Pace go with the plusher Sportsman.
@tharagz085 жыл бұрын
@@ATVonDemand sound advice. We typically do 2 hour rides going pretty hard. Zero mud all dirt trails and jumps. If the scrambler feels good to me I'm leaning in that direction. It is disappointing though that they do not offer the 850 with EPS or the 1000 in the narrower stance. The front diff upgrade makes me want to go 1000
@bbreckner98845 жыл бұрын
I would not recommend the scrambler s. Simply because you will get bored of it! The reason I sold my rs1 was because it bored me. Nothing would even phase it. It’s hard to believe I get it, but seriously it was too good and I wanted that driver feeling. I looked at the scrambler before getting my renegade and the guy we get stuff from says it’s just like the rs1 but a four wheeler. Right then in there I knew it wasn’t for me. You should seriously consider the renegade if your more of a hands ok driver. But if you are in your early 50s with back problems get the scrambler.
@tharagz085 жыл бұрын
@@bbreckner9884 nope I'm in my late 20s. I want something mean feeling to ride. At the same time though I do enjoy EPS quite a bit. The seating looks completely different between the scrambler, sportsman and renegade. I'm trying to find a local dealer that carrys all 3 to do test drives between them. It doesn't appear that any kind of online research could make a clear choice between those 3.
@bbreckner98845 жыл бұрын
Michael Morrison I would recommend you the renegade! I got under 10 miles on mine and SHE RIPS! Pulls wheelies at 30 mph like it’s nothing. With the Polaris you will get bored with it. Unless your hitting 50ft doubles all day you won’t find any challenges for it which looses its fun factor! I’m posting a video on my renegade this weekend doing a full review and riding video. So stay tuned for that!

Nice machine. Great video. Maybe consider putting your helmet cam on the chin of the helmet. It's not a big deal, a bit weird seeing the visor off to the side. I used to do the same thing and I like my videos more with the camera centered a bit.
@ATVonDemand5 жыл бұрын
That is a great suggestion! We were actually trying to rig it up like that for these videos but lacked the parts to get it centered properly. Any suggestions for accessories to make this easy?

I love the way it looks and sounds I love the ground clerence stock tires and 3500 winch but the top two reasons I wouldn't buy is its to wide to fit down the atv trails and I would have to ride side by side trils but the atv trails I ride have so much more obstacle and mud 2nd reason is the price ya I love the machine and would like to own one but maybe in 2030 whare I can get it used off Facebook market for a affordable price but not today good vid keep up the good work

Polaris didn't build this machine for people who ride on 50-inch trails. They made that pretty clear. That's why they still make the standard Sportsman 1000.

At some point I think it would be awesome to have a look back at some of the most commonly overlooked budget sport quads for a good old shootout, like the old quadsport 250's, Honda 250x, and Kawasaki Mojave. Heck I've got the rarest of the three to loan to you guys when its done, 89 quadsport 250 with only a pipe and jetting, otherwise just restored and maintained to original factory specs. I think some others would agree too, or maybe a patron is in order for you guys to build these retro shootout bikes/quads. Anyways keep up the great work!

The kidding us remembers all of those machines very well. We're hoping we can get back to testing some older machines in the future.

ATVonDemand you right it’s long but honestly it’s winder and with Fox suspension control like beast . As well this machine look hot with that winder body 🔥👍🏾

Great idea being wide and all, but I had an 850 and a RZR. Most likely wouldn’t buy Polaris again. Replace Clutch at 300 miles. Wheel bearing shortly after. Throw a code when I am 50 miles from civilization. And I ride like an old man. Thankfully I had warrenty which cost an arm and a leg. Quality/Reliability is sub par at best. I will stay Jap or maybe dabble with a Canned Ham in the future.

we have a 2015 polaris scrambler 1000 with 2415 miles with no major issues. I have owned polaris all my life and have nothing majorly fail on any of them. I recently switched to a renegade hoping I will have the same luck.

Armando Sturzenegger uhhh... so I got a snorkel kit for it. Had all the lights come on the dash, had a brake warning light come across the dash, throttle cutting in and out, water getting into the air box due to the cover not being water tight, plastics have melted to the point I’m going to zip tie them up, all the bolts at one point or another have been tighten due to vibrations. So it’s been pretty good other then that. Also it’s really fast in a straight line.
