Many time heard people say CFE turbo got prob, the turbine is Bosch china n too simple design one and tak tahan panas wooh. Dulu I choose within stream,wish for my mpv but both of those no 2nd&3rd row a-cond vent, not good in space but the price quite high, So I finally decide take used 1st model cps even I don't like the look to be honestly, tak pernah ada in my list tapi only exora win in price (RM18k++ in 2019), spacious, road tax murah, air-cond 2nd&3rd row, good handling, and for sure cps maintaining simple. So far just one big prob I facing with my exora cps before is enjin tetiba mati masa drive. But perhaps sudah settle liow after change crank censor ,fuel pump& fuel filter. Good to see my family happy in every trip. Now like don't believe kereta Yang tak pernah minat sekarang rupanya very suitable for my family..walla

Tbvh the Exora for the price is a muchh better bet than having an Alza, Avanza, Rush or Aruz. As a 7 seater there's nothing on the market that give as much space, performance and etc for the price. Having tested the Aruz, felt the car was terrible to drive, sit in and etc. Legit if you're talking about sense. It's hard to beat the Exora. And old design sure, but dosent mean that it isn't good.

2007 was Persona launched, 2008 Saga BLM and Exora was first introduced in 2009. Please double check before posting. It just turns 11th year this year. Wapcar come on! 😘🙌🏼

I own an exora as the the one in this review. and I find your comments about the car are fair and square. No bias at all. I also own a 2010 Toyota avanza, Exora outshines Avanza in every field. Only time will tell if Exora has the reliability of Avanza, which Avanza is very strong at.

Although now warga emas status, Exora actually quite capable and sensible choice imo. Decent turbo engine, practical interior with many cubby spaces, full flat folding seats unlike Aruz, real full 3 row aircon and interior space still unbeatable for the price. The refinements especially the new infotainment screen definitely very welcome. But I wish they would change more like replace some parts with newer Geely components like the new map light in Saga, steering & grill like Iriz/Persona and swap the CVT to the 4 speed auto like in Saga, I think it would perform better and probably has better reliability in the long run.

Going from a CVT to a 4 speed is downgrading just for the sake of reliability . The original Cvt has a 6 speed virtual gears option and I can imagine if it only has 4 physical gears. Probably they can take Hyundai's 6 speed tranny but I still prefer CVT for performance. 4 gears will severely limit the engine's capability.

11:37 actually for me is not big deal because those additional 2 airbags is a just side driver & passanger seat airbag not curtain airbags and remember back then Exora super premium come with 4 airbags cost around RM81K and right now Exora Rc cost around RM70k (RM10k cheaper) that only loose out 2 airbags yeah its a good deal maa

Well another last facelift coming soon 🔜 for the exora next year as spotted by Bobby Ang last year. Areas to emphasize the transmission, safety features, NVH(follow Xpander) , much more sculptured seats especially for second and third rows, slide able middle row, proton ride and handling especially the steering calibration, new proton DNA injection 💉 to the look and fuel ⛽ consumption. If want to cut ✂ cost just share the engine and transmission from X50. The rest of the offerings are well designed for the price range offered. Please help to make sure these items get injected into the last facelift of the proton exora. Finally, the important of all is the after sales service are really lacking for all models.

Proton CVT, it's like that. If you floor it, the car will be like, are sure? for a second. Then it will go. So it's better to half throttle first, then floor it.

There is nothing wrong is old design as people mover like Starex is even older and still selling by Hyundai so age is just a number as long as it is functional. But hope to see Proton improve the following: 1. Projector headlight 2. Bigger first and second row seat for better thigh support 3. Redesign the front bumper as it is unnecessary longer to the front, the overall length can be reduced for easier parking Although it is disappointing with two airbags, I guess the Exora is never designed to have more than 4 airbags as the pillars are used for aircond ducting.

I got Indiana grey premium rc 2020 and slam it with dark tinted. Layan standard minimalis. All the exterior package such spoiler, skirting, sport rim, two tone color make it minimalis. Love it so muchhh. Spacious giler for the price. Full passenger no problem. It is good for cruiser type driver. No need performance car anymore, enough with my stage 3 persona manual. Didn't trade in my persona cause Exora is so cheap! Hi Ploton, Play music, Play Raihan! Iman adalah mutiara..... Noiceee. 😂😂😂

A very common proton problem. The roof/grab handle so fragile and easy to rosak wei! Just look at 6:04 when he seated at the 3rd row seat, the roof/grab handle over his head was kaput. Wondering, the car always fully occupied on daily basis until 3rd row or just the roof/grab handle memang easy to break? But other shots, the roof/grab handle is fixed. I guess not for long. LOL

9:55 I disagree. You don't need to floor it to cross a junction. Obviously when you floor it, the Ecu will say "No I ain't gonna let you rip the CVT". It blast off even at half throttle. And you have to be a boy racer if you floor the accelerator. Go try drag race with an Innova see if it changes your mind.

Exora common problem: Steering rack bush worn out fast, then steering tilt to left when drive straight. Oil cooler hose might burst. Right side mirror unable fold. Right DRL die after drive under heavy rain. Engine mounting not absorbing vibration well after 2years and steering start become vibrater. Other thing that no consider problem and can be considered as enhancement: Second row seat should give railing adjustment and center seat put 3point seat belt just like the export spec like Aussie spec. Front bumper lower part is a bit low, sometimes front bumper hit the pavement when go down poor design multi-story parking lot. It will be better if got front parking sensor. No plan for change engine? Give a proper 6AT also can.

Huntakiller : erm , engine is hot get ready to worry about the radiator hose and pipe rubber easy get hardening ， engine top gaskets already chg 3 times since 2009 to 2020 🌚🌚

@@HuntaKiller91 good, buy it. If possible buy the H-Line (Premium) spec than M-Line (Executive) and standard. At least you have 2 airbag as standard which acceptable on that time. My dad after 1 year have it bought it (H-Line variant) used it is still drive well. Just make sure to service it after buying and continue on schedule. From my personal opinion, the gearbox (4AT) is less lack than this CVT and the ChemPro engine is responsive well. We did bring it jalan jauh from Kuching to Lubok Antu (Sri Aman), it is comfortable and save fuel for long distance drive. If on budget to buy MPV like us, just buy the CPS.

Well fyi the next gen Exora is already in the works ie sketches are now being done at Sweden ie and then model will be developed in three places ie Sweden,China and Malaysia and Volvo has decided to help shocking!!! Oh and there are rumours running around that the new Exora will become a b+Segment car as thier C+segment Jaiji MPV will also be modified by Geely as Proton is not happy when big MPV has smaller booth space than the old Exora ...so in future our Jaiji will look abit Deferent...will heres hopping it will all turn out good

Wow. That's great news. If they continue with the Jiaji, it's gonna be Exora all over again. C segment mpv will not sell well here. As most families have more than one car, most of us have no need for a big size mpv. It will also gonna be too expensive. Proton need an Ertiga replacement that can compete with Alza. No need to be so luxurious like the Jiaji. Smart looks, practical, affordable, good fuel economy and compact is the way to go. Good call Proton & Geely👍 P.S. Do u know what's coming next after X50? New 2015 EB and replaced the gearbox twice... same problem again now and the car is lying in Chan Sow Lin for more than a month. Proton is giving me lame excuses to replace the gearbox even with 7 years or 250,000km warranty. Nice car though but if we send for warranty claim, we have to be very2 patient. Proton has to be more responsible towards its customers. Its CVT Punch Gearbox is the worst part in this car.

My family did own a proton exora 2009 before, it was a nice family car and spacious. But for the quality, it's the worse. The wiper motor will jammed, mine change twice already, the aircond leaked fixed it a lot of time & a lot of money, The signal gone after replace the battery and The boot door also broke because they using plastic as a hook holder. That's experience owning a proton exora. 2/10 for exora
