On a separate note about a month ago I mentioned audio quality and you took the high road and said you would work on it. Well done. It is much better in all riding situations. Maybe in the future when it’s cold you’ll go over your setup. I lot of guys got to full helmet just so they can create high quality content. You have been able to get very close to their quality while still open face. Again well done and thanks for changing and growing for everyone’s benefit.

I’m a hypocrite but agree also. I didn’t get suspension first when building my bike. I started with stage 1, seat, bars, lights, stage 2 and then suspension. It’s hard to say I would suspension before stage 1 if I was starting all over but the greatest smile on my face while riding comes from suspension. There are major advantages to all the upgrade categories I listed but it seems like the least talked about is suspension and it maybe the single most confidence inspiring upgrade I did to my bike. Thanks for the video. I installed my Axe0 myself. If anyone is thinking about it being a stretch to their budget got ahead and do the install yourself. There are a few videos out there and they are very good. Plan for 4 hours. Cheers!

You make great points with HD and including premium parts. They should ! Outstanding camera work capturing the front fork travel demonstrating exactly how well they work. My 2013 suspension was junk on my Ultra Limited especially when my wife was on the back which is 90% of my riding. I also spend almost all of my time on backroads. I went with Ohlins front and rear because if I remember correctly Legends wasn't available at that time. In my case, I did not tell my wife about the upgrade, and when we were about to go over a known rough railroad crossing she braced herself for the impact. She immediately said: Did they repair the crossing? That felt totally different. Guys and Gals do yourself a favor and consider this upgrade and do it right. Buy the best because as they say "Cry Once Buy Once".

I hear ya on the stock suspension...have a 2016 SGS and I came from a crotch rocket. Needless to say I enjoy throwing the bike into turns and the stock suspension doesn’t instill confidence in a turn. Guess I’m gonna have to save up and invest in some shocks and cartridges! After I installed Legend on my SGS it was a game changer. I think the suspension is just as important as the tires. The handling, braking, and overall feel of the bike. You’re right night and day difference. Take care and enjoy the ride 😎👊

Great video.. but it's so expensive to have to upgrade the suspension on an already expensive bike just to make it ride right.. I got tired of doing this with all my Harleys. Why can't Harley go to a mono shock and inverted forks like the Indian baggers? They handle so much better out of the box.

No doubt from your great video I can see the dramatic improvement when you slam on the front breaks, it just doesn't sink but, is the bike Stiffer now because of it? In other words, are you giving up comfort for the stiffer suspension or no? Let me know when you can!

Quick question for ya. With the front suspension carts, did you go with the +2" or did you go stock height in conjunction with the 13" adjustables in the rear? I'm thinking about adding the the +2" carts on my RKS. You can literally see the performance difference compared to stock on cornering and braking! You got a great looking rig there.

Nice camera, what model is it? I noticed you didn't brag about the revo As in the rear, and many of the bumps looked to jar your bike and teeth..you didn't mention what size A's, but I suspect you stayed with the 12" , but as a taller person, wanting to improve that ride, you or somebody knowlegable should have steered you to the 13" version on the rear...then I'm sure you would have bragged about the rear.. I will say, just replacing the front springs @ $125 would likely greatly impressed most riders..so if you can't or don't want to spend $900 just for the front cartridges to show up at your door.. Upgrade the shtty springs.

I read the comments every time someone adds a suspension upgrade, “ As much as harleys cost it should come with a better suspension set up, well I agree but it all depends on how you ride ie spirited riding or speed limit. Everything you buy will need better tires more power better suspension if you’re pushing the limits. It’s just $ Nice page good content keep up the good work and enjoy. Just my .02
