Thank you for the support, had a blast. Love the luv, and I'm sure you will figure it out, took me 3 years, and a ton of cheap tricks to get the s10 where it is. If you want any ideas to make it hook, let me know, I'll tell anyone what worked for me anyhow, and these light in the rear trucks are a pain to plant.

Timothy Samford I own a 1st gen ford lightning. It Spins. I’m curious about tricks you do to get it to hook. I bet that shell helps a little a bit. getting weight over the rear tires. Even if a small amount. Do you use cal track bars? Or slapper bars? I would assume good tires are key. I Like hearing other’s ideas and learning.

@@b.s.adventures9421 I'm broke, so cal tracs were out of the question, but I made my own made of tractor implements from harbor frieght, couple triangles of steel, and longer bolts, about $60 total and Works well. The shell definately helps, whatever weight you can move to the rear, plus I filled half my tailgate with mortar mix, along with the old spare mounted under the bed. Another thing that can help but looks weird, is to have the front higher than the rear (think gasser) helps transfer the weight where u need it.

And yes tires are a big part, mickey Thompson et streets are amazing in my opinion. I do run them lower than suggested at about 9 to 12 lbs, but works for me!

Hey bro I have a few questions and a few tips for you in the drag racing game. #1 what is your timing set at?? #2 did you get the TH400 put in it yet? #3 what is the rear end gear ratio?? Now here are my tips #1 the gear Ratio I would put in it a 4.10 at the very least a 3.73 . # 2 I have watched and watched all your videos looking for the name on your intake manifold and I just can't pinpoint it so if it is a knock off no name cheapo and not a Edlebrock air gap. You are killing HP and TQ so if you can find a true Edlebrock air gap dual plain intake on Craigslist they can be had on the cheap. #3 trust me on this one brother Edelbrock can make great intakes and heads but bro they can not build a carb to save their life lol not for racing so lose the Brock carb get a 650 to 750 cm Holley carb. #4 when you do get the TH 400 in it get a 3000 stall for it. That motor sounds healthy way to healthy to be running 15s lol so something is not right. I ask about the timing cause you said it was in a blazer b4. Well now it's in a truck that weighs a lot less so if it's not advancing right at the right curve you are hurting your ETs. Also another tip I noticed in your videos at the track you left on the green lights that is actually a bad light cut and a big misconception by new racers. Always Always hammer the gas down on the last yellow light before the green. You will cut better lights that way always remember at least 80% of the drag race is the light cut and the hole shot ;) I promise you if you get those things done and dialed in fine tuned you should be a low 12 sec truck worst. Or best a mid 11sec truck. I can't wait to see what you do next with it and watch you get faster. Ex bracket racer here. If you like. Any more info ask away bro. Drag racing is a ton of fun.
