Dam good vid! There is only 1 million vids on Linseed oil but you actually answered my one question - painting it later on.. Im not set in stone on the patina look and didn't want to create more work for my self later. Right now though we are hitting winter and I drive mine so I was just looking to protect it until next summer. I might actually like it once its done, and in the past I kicked myself for un doing really nice patina for shiny paint. I have clear coated patina on a chopper before and it looked awesome but Im keeping my current build for life this time and I know that clear coat will end up going to crap if I try it on my current project, the chopper lived most its time in a garage where this car lives outside all year long. Thanks!

I wish you would have included a link for the one you were using so that we could have at least known where to start. Thanks for the video.

Great video. Gave me great ideas for a 59 Rambler. Any ideas How you might modify the window crank so it also has that same look as the door handle? If you are now in Kentucky, whereabouts? I will be near Henderson for a few weeks. Also the quick tip for getting scale off of parts (yeah I watched the door handle vid too), go to home depot and buy a gallon of Muriatic acid (pool acid). dunk your parts in the acid for a few minutes, pull them out, wipe off the scale with a rag. I have done large pieces by just building a frame and covering the frame with visqueen and pour the acid on the visqueen (you have basically made a custom shallow pool). When you grind or wire wheel scale, it is literally just heating it up and moving it around. Yes use PPE (gloves, glasses, etc). If you are concerned about discarding the acid, dilution is the solution to pollution (dilute with water - like a pool). Try it.

Do not do this. It will never dry and leave a very sticky residue. Almost impossible to get off without ruining the patina
