The 2020 Shelby GT500 continues to impress! After some fine tuning, Lee Dennis' GT500 clicked off an impressive 9.70@144 at full weight with an impressive 1.54 60 ft time. We fell there is a lot more left on the table with this platform but are THRILLED with these early results! Watch the video to follow the road to 9.7s

The learning curve for these cars will be much quicker thanks to the other SuperCharged cars that have come before. Most of the tuners have several years of experience with these OEM super cars now and the path is much more clear than it was 5-10 years ago. The Muscle Car Wars are in full song right now, what an incredible time to be a GearHead with enough money (or credit at your local financial institution) to put one of these machines under you!

There's a key word in this release from Dodge. "Estimated" The Demon was built as a drag strip car using racing fue (100 octane) to maximize horsepower. If you're going to compair factory drag cars. Then compair the Demon to the 8 second Mustang Cobra Jet. The major difference between the Demon and Shelby GT500 is the Shelby can run a quarter mile at a time, or lap a track with the best of Supercars. Something the Demon can't do. By the way. I own a new Chrysler 300C, Hemi. It's a fantastic and powerful sedan that fits my daily driver needs. I'm Hugh fan of the FCA SRT lineup, but I'm not blind.. The Shelby GT500 is a multi-function Supercar. Not just a purpose built straight line performer. The Shelby has so much unlocked potential. Ford has built a beast.

Stock. The wheel hop is not wheel hop. It's the torque limits interfering and I have done some things in the tune to help that.

It's well worth the 65-75k that (Ford is asking).. for the car! but.. I'm not so sure about the 100-110k that the (Dealerships).. are. putting. on. the. markup! It looks to me like..FORD.. would put their foot up someass’es and put a Stop to them doing this shit.. putting (markups) on the cars like they are.. to all of their loyal lifelong customers!.. they would sell twice the vehicles.. without the dealerships robbing everyone out of the 20-30k markup! That's why PBD Dyno'd the car after doing more work to it as PBD has time and money invested in the car and said they planed to run in a couple days with the new setup as well as Mickey Thompson's. On that run it list what was done to the car and that was not it. I don't know anything about 887 as the new level is 908hp to the wheels. Of and I love your crank horsepower now because you full of shit! 😂😂 That's not even close to right if that's what you were trying to claim. It would around 1000hp to the crank @ 11% which are the numbers Ford reps are pushing and what the cars are showing with factory Dyno results. You see I'm in a argument with a kid as I thought the car did 9.7's at 835+ yet it appears 890 more or less yet the video to show that is a week later. That's a issue. Bad information

r d If I’m not mistaken the tcu tune has not been cracked on these yet. You do get a benefit shifting later than the automatic shift points since you are in the power band for a longer period of time therefore putting more power to the ground. Once a proper tcu tune comes out then the story would be different.

Very disappointing! You can build a mustang 5.0 for a lot cheaper. Why would anyone buy this expensive car and modded basically to keep up with a stock Demon or Redeye? I'd rather buy a used McLaren for about the same price of this car with all the mods and I'd still beat it. All you Mopar haters watch for Josh at HHP and Mike at OST they have tuned the fastest Mopars ever to which none of gt500 can ever beat. Let the truth be told!
