The Predator motors are just insane! Can’t imagine one with the DCT swapped into a light Fox! 🦊 Thanks for continuing to push the envelope! 👌💪🙏🚀🏎

@@brettfrimmer6567 You're not wrong, it would just be fun to have that powertrain in a lightweight Fox that's around 3,000 pounds. It'd be a handful and scary fun.

Ken, these video series about your blue GT-500 are the best! Everyone wants to hear and learn about all that you are showing. Step by step you are being a pioneer on that and clear as water about the mods. Thank you so much for all that info!

My God! Great work Ken! You've taken all the guess work out of modifying these cars. Your hard work and efforts make basically, deciding how much power one wants to make with what fuel and picking that pulley, supporting parts and tune.
@DWH3002 жыл бұрын
1000+ HP with a pulley change, headers and your amazing tune using E85 is strong and I'm guessing a safer range for the stock 5 2 internals. I enjoyed hearing the DTC snapping the gears during your pulls. Everyone owning a GT500 will be lining up at your door wanting your Ford Predator setup and tuning wizardry.

I’ll start by saying I could build you a house but doing an oil change on the gt500 would be iffy for me. Embarrassing I know. That being said my gt500 is supposed to be delivered this oct (I’ll believe it when I see it) . I really want to get an extra 100-200 hp out of it on pump gas. Is it possible to contact you through your website and maybe you could give me a couple options of what you would do if it were your car for the correct tune and a list of parts I need to order from you. Then I can order from you and bring them the my local shop knowing I have the correct set up for them to install on the car. I’ll contact you either way when I get the car to see if you can help. I respect the way you go through each level of upgrade. I definitely learn more than the other videos. Thanks for the info

Damn. Almost 100 hp gain from E85. I should have mine back on Monday. On a 2.75, we got 748 hp. It was over 110 degrees so. I'm going E85 now and tuning should be done tomorrow. I'm expecting at least 850 to the wheels. 2.75, intake, bap, tune, e85. everything else stock.

Ken, My GT500 comes in this week. On 91 octane, and a DA of 6000+ which mods would you recommend? Not going to race the car on a track, want great drivability. I was thinking pulley/intake/tune only? Thoughts?

I've done a 2.75 pulley with intake and lethal race pipes with 93octane tune..800 horse @ wheel...id suggest bigger injectors but people get by without them

@carculturenation21664 жыл бұрын
If I know the Smurf zr1 you are talking about. He definitely don’t tell the truth about his power. These are stock bottom end stock cam (except stangmode) but this is a learning curve on these things. The zr1 has beat lighter more powerful cars and when he says hp numbers they jump around. Plus he recently raced another zr1 with the same work supposedly and he beat the guy pretty bad. But at the beginning of when they got together the guy he was racing called him out on having heads and mike said no and said well you have a throttle body and heads wouldn’t do much. I started laughing heads are a huge upgrade compared to a throttle body.pretty much that engine is built built and left looking stock. And maybe some hidden Go go juice. Plus he only roll races in his area at his starting speed but yet will not drag race because he knows these mustangs will GAp him. I do like though he showed his $200,000 Lamborghini Gallardo getting beat by a stock mustang GT

I just blew my Gen 1 coyote with 111k miles after 1 week on e85 at around 660wheel. Number 8 cylinder threw a rod. Getting Ford Racing Aluminator next low compression 9.5:1motor so i wont have any issues with detonation and way better durability compared to NA 11:1 compression aluminator. Vmp tuned my car on e85 when it threw the rod after 1 week on e85 with 111k boosted miles.

Making 880/649 Can a voodoo gt350 handle the power and boost on 93? What are some of the differences with the gt500 engine vs the gt350 engine besides the crankshaft

The Voodoo won't do as well on 93 because they are much higher compression

Hey maybe i should get my next tune from you bro. Blew my motor this week on vmp e85 tune and leaves bad taste in my mouth, even though my Roush boosted gen 1 coyote had 111k boosted miles, it should of lasted longer than 1 week on e85. Justin Starkey used to do all the tuning, but now he has other people doing tuning, and not sure what their experience is. But car threw a rod number 8 cylinder after 1 week on e85 at 660wheel. Lasted 111k boosted Miles at 600wheel, but one week at 660wheel. Getting a low compression aluminator built for supercharging cause way better durability, less chance of detonation, and improved volumetric efficiency with boost on low compression aluminator. Plus if i ever want to go back to 91 octane i can make close to 700wheel with low compression aluminator compared to high compression aluminator coyote on less boost but more octane. Have to spin my Roush Gen 1 blower a little harder with lower compression aluminator, but thats ok cause way safer on motor and no detonation and bigger power with much better longevity on e85 or pump. Unless Justin personally tunes my next motor, i think i may have this guy at PBD tune my aluminator for 800wheel on e85..
@johnbyfield57763 жыл бұрын
You may have gotten a bad tank of gas. What was the condition of the oil? The 4valve engines love high compression. High compression is best for torque, which these small displacement engines lack. Careful tuning is a must.

You running flex-fuel, or straight E85? I ask because here in Vegas, we can't get 93 octane. To compensate, a lot of guys (not G500's) run flex fuel and mix 1:1 E85 and 91 octane. Since our E85 is usually closer to E70, that mix gives us E30 to E35 in the tank.
@PalmBeachDyno4 жыл бұрын
Straight E85. You would be better off running the E70

@maximusvonce13814 жыл бұрын
Low compression motor is better cause you can push more boost on lower octane gas. The 9.5:1 compression aluminator will last longer, has better volumetric efficiency, and you can run more boost with way way less chance of detonation. If you want a motor to last and not detonate, the lower compression aluminator will be the one. Stuffing more boost is better than less boost on high compression. Why do you think all factory Production supercharged cars run low compression. The engineers obviously know something. By far better durability, longevity, and much bbn less chance of detonation with lower compression aluminator.
@maximusvonce13814 жыл бұрын
Funny how people bag on the low compression 5.0 aluminators when this car makes 900wheel on low compression Coyote. Yea but the 9.5:1 compression aluminator will last longer, has better volumetric efficiency, and you can run more boost with way way less chance of detonation.
@jeffersonhenn10864 жыл бұрын
The reason why all of the car manufacturers are running low compression on their supercharged engines, is because those engines are being made to run on 91 octane pump gas....

Insane the power these things can make! Still bummed on lack of torque (relatively speaking of course) and just not seeming to be as fast on the street as other comparable power/weight cars.
