Sherco guys let me know down in the comments below: What is up with the front brakes on the 2020's. This is the second 2020 I've rode with very weak front brakes. Dealer thinks it is the line?

Check if both pads are actuating evenly. If one of the pistons is sticking it could give you the feeling you describe.

I'll get better at it as I get more seat time. Boy was I happy to get back on my 200! I think the 300SEF is a great bike so far, definitely not the best bike for goat trails...she wants to move!

I have this same bike. My front brake is fine. Not sure what's up with that one.

We have 3 in the group with the same issue. We will get it figured out soon enough. They work, but they feel like the hose is expanding or somethings....there's pressure at first, but no braking until the end of the pull. Dealer has a 250 that does this also but he likes it that way. All of my KTM brembo's were perfect.

Yeah, between Covid lockdowns/cancelled events last year and heavy snowfall this winter I've had little motivation. I've got a couple in the works now and we had the first "semi snowless ride yesterday" so I'll get to editing now. Thanks for the kick in the Ass!

Front brake probably needs bleeding properly, mine was always a bit crap from new too. Please stop blipping the throttle on and off every millisecond too! haha. Stalling will probably become a non issue once you are used to it and the motor beds in a bit more.

I know...my four stroke riding technique is shit from 8 years on 2 smokes....it was actually getting better towards the end of the ride. The brakes were bled on both bikes, still shit! cleaned rotors and even changed pads?

@@PrimalEnduro I tried to bleed mine a couple of times and thought I had it but didn't. I bought a vacuum bleeder and put through quite a bit of new fluid, and then also removed the lever/master cylinder from the bars and worked the lever in all sorts of positions up in the air to get any remaining bubbles to come up and out. It's pretty good now, maybe not as firm as some previous bikes but I'm happy with it.

I've heard those Shercos need just a little bit of throttle and then they start just fine.

I tried that also, it seemed like it laboring to turn the motor over sometimes, as if the auto decompression was not engaging. Other times it fired right up.

I ride a fourstroke, some I’m just wondering.. cant you ride a twostroke without that constant blipping of the throttle? Sound like everyone is riding like that so i guess there is a reason.. 🤔😀

@@henrikforsberg683 To be honest, it's just the natural way I ride I guess. I never even noticed until riding this bike. Four strokes like a smoother more consistent throttle. Two Strokes don't care what you do with the throttle...they just keep working!

I think this bike is too big, for this kind of riding. The bike needs a little more open throttle. A smaller cc would be much better.

The bike is likely not the problem. I'm just so used to two strokes, it will take me some time to get used to smoother more consistent throttle openings that this bike prefers! The problem is always more me than the bike!

I hear you...lol my four stroke riding is shit from years on two strokes. But I don't blame the bike for that...I just need to get the mapping and brakes sorted. The power of the 300 is really smooth and friendly feeling.

Ha! Never...just did the top end @ 160hrs and it was spotless...could have gone to 200hrs or more. The Sherco's are just on loan from a friend. Next video is the 200 175 hr update!

It's funny because they should be good. Brembo's on all my KTM's have been great. Maybe because I'm currently riding a Beta with the touchiest front brake on the planet?
