2020 Subaru Garage Programming (1 MINUTE)

In less than one minute you'll learn how to program the HomeLink garage door openers on the rearview mirror of your 2020+ Subaru. Applicable to all equipped Subaru models.
1. Press desired channel on the bottom of your mirror
2. While the orange light is flashing, activate your garage door opener button
3. Keep the opener pressed until the orange LED turns green

Press and hold the outer two buttons, until the light flashes green. I hope this helps.

Cant just directly program it without the garage door opener?

Depending on the opener I think you probably can if you press a pairing button on the unit. Having a functioning opener does make the process easier though. (I’m not certain about this, but I paired a different kind of opener on my motorcycle using that technique.)
