2020 Tony Kart 401R 125cc Rotax | Track Testing at Canberra Fairbairn Park Go Kart Race Track

Our new 2020 Tony Kart 401R Go Kart is powered by a water-cooled, 125cc Rotax Senior Evo Max two-stroke engine. We have also fitted Mychron 5 telemetry. We start our track testing at our local go kart race track at Fairbairn Park Mark Webber circuit in Canberra. We finish running in our engine and set a new personal best lap time of a high 52 seconds after looking at the data. Lots more improvement to go with driver skill, tyre pressures and track familiarity.

Got an interview tomorrow at a kart track in my town tomorrow! mostly kart and track maintainence , fingers crossed it goes well! will be soaking up as much info from these videos in future, it's something im interested in getting into.

G'day Tom, yes they are difficult series of corners on that part of the track. No plans for racing at the moment, just having fun tracking it.

G'day Angry, nothing fell off and just had a few more under chassis scratches from the kerbs. I dont know if I will beat Frankie nexf Friday! Will just be happy to beat my 1.16 I posted last time out.

You should try holding your hands lower on the wheel, it’s a bit more comfortable in my opinion. Also try to lean out when going through a corner, it’s helps rotate the kart

G'day mate, yes have now changed hand position to the widest part of the wheel. I have heard different opinions about leaning, but will give it a go. New karting video coming to channel tomorrow.

Coming into some corners you are to narrow

Yep agree. Got some decent tyres with the right pressure and have set up front spacers and wheel alignment. It has transformed the kart!
