Check out these new collectors tins from Topps. These run $15 and include 75 cards. The tins themselves are nice and the amount of cards you get seem to add up to a good value. This was a fun rip and hats off to Topps for an affordable product with some nice inserts and parallels.

They are producing a whole lot of cards but its an international market. Used to be mostly marketed for the U.S.. With online breakers going "worldwide", E-Bay and other venues going "worldwide" there are more collectors. The base cards will be plentiful...so the low numbered cards, SP's and SSP's. color variations of star players will hold good value. Have fun collecting.

I actually bought one at my local Fred Meyers here in Washington state. Fred Meyers is a Wal-mart type store. I actually did very well in my tin. I pulled a Kyle Tucker Decades Next auto to /25 and I also pulled a black 86 Nolan Ryan card to /299. My chrome Turkey Red was of Ronald Acuna. The difference in my tin to yours and Wal-marts is instead of Rhys Hoskins inserts mine had Vlad Jr.

Yes production is up, but so is demand. Social media, especially you tube, has brought a lot of older guys like myself who got burned in the '90s ( I had a store back then ) back into the hobby. Guys just looking for hits to grade are going to be upset, but kids and set collectors are coming back. I got a storage unit to get into. I know I have a good amount of Jeter rookies, including the stadium dome sets somewhere. Not as many autos and very short printed chase cards back then. So they create a niche market in the current era that did not exist then. Topps hasn't survived all these years when others have failed not knowing their market, so I am not worried about their products. And finally the flagship base product provides relatively affordable cards for the masses, we can't all afford the high ends. A new generation of good players who will probably be around for a while have emerged in the last few years. In the early '90s, not so much. Another reason the flop of the junk wax era, for even the high end products...

Question and/or comment for anyone who has opened some of these or watched several openings. I have seen many opened and opened a couple myself. I think that there is an almost guaranteed "hit" in these tins. It seems like all have a short print, # parallel, relic, etc. right after the Chrome Turkey Red. I pulled a vintage stock Trout and Judge SP in my two. There might be more value in these than it seemed initially.

The Hoskins cards can be numbered. I pulled one numbered to 299 but there was no color difference from a normal one. I'd also remind people to check the backs of all their cards as some are extended stats #d to 300.

The only purpose of this product is for topps to make more money. They are over producing cards way to much. I saw in a video from Stryker breaks today that topps made at least 20 million series 1 cards this year

If you watched all of stryker’s video then you are purposely forgetting to mention that he said junk wax era had a print run in the billions. Topps is just matching the demand of the customers, no reason to freak out at all

@@305CardCollector and topps makes dozens of products a year compared to back then. I doubt they make a total amount as much as in the 90's but if you think they aren't over producing you are lying to yourself.

If Topps were a genuinely smart company, then they would produce below demand. I know that sounds counterintuitive, but in this market you want to keep the collectors on the hunt and wanting more. With overproduction, the collectible item becomes “junk”. Would anyone collect paper towels, toilet paper, or tissues? Again, if Topps happens to read this comment, for collectible items to stay collectible, you should always produce just below the demand in order to keep a demand. I happened to live through the junk-wax era and have a closet full of worthless Topps cards to prove it.

I used all the tins coupons I had save up and got 6 tins for $102! I think I will keep a few of the tins sealed up to be unwrapped. I did open two tins (feel free to check out my video if you are interested in the cards I received) and was very excited to get the Chrome Decades Best from the 2010s of my Cleveland Indians! @ I Bleed Orange and Green. I think youre juuuust a bit high on the production on the junk wax era cards. Up to that point most production run on The base sets were around 5 million. The junk wax error was going to be upwards of 25 million. 1 billion cards is a little nutty. LOL

If the pull rate for gold parallels are 1:3 then yes it is a great value since gold in hobby are like 1:13 I think. Not 100% but remember hearing odds were more difficult.
