Very nice video. I've got a 2019 Street Scrambler and will be watching this again before changing the oil next month. The only thing that I think is missing is the steps for resetting the service light after completing the work.

One of the better oil change videos I’ve seen and nice videoing from underneath the 🏍 bike. I can see exactly what you are doing in a practical way. And you talked slowly as for dummies like I am. Thanks a million. NZ

Great, clear and concise video..thanks for sharing. 2 takeaways from my experience is to buy the eom crush washers. I bought a M14 crusher washer from the auto shop and it was halve the thickness. So that went in the washer bin, lol. And the filter grips I had for the trident are not a good fit on this Scrambler due to minimal wall clearance. So now I’ve added another tool like yours to the garage, 😂. I’ve also got some spare K&N filters but the nut hangs slightly lower than the bash plate. Again not a problem for front mounted filters like on the Trident but being on the bottom of the Scrambler…hmm not sure if it’s worth risking. So back to oem filters. Ride safe 🤙

Very thorough tutorial. I have a couple of questions: 1: after completing the oil change, how do you cancel out the little wrench icon on the odometer that indicates service due ? 2: where did you get that rolling center stand ( what brand is that ? ) Nice bike 😎

I am considering picking one of these sexy machines. Have you had any issues regarding oil leaks? I heard it's a common problem.
@michaelsantino2023
@michaelsantino2023 3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t had any problems. The only thing I heard was that there might have been a problem in the past with the replacement K&N oil filters which have a welded nut on them to make tightening and loosening easier. Some people apparently over tightened this causing damage to the actual filter which caused a leak. I used the OEM filter and wrench so this wouldn’t be an issue.

The heat shields are very effective. It does get slightly warm on the right leg which is nice in winter and fall. Definitely not a deal breaker for summer riding.

An excellent video thank you for posting it. At about 3:33, it looks as if the pivot bolt for the side stand is not pushed fully home. There should be an e-clip located in a groove on the back end of the bolt. Has this become detached ? Mine did and I had to replace it. Just a thought. Best wishes from Leicester, England.

Great video how did you reset the spanner symbol . Is the oil change not covered by the dealer and if done yourself is the warranty affected .love from wales uk
@michaelsantino2023
@michaelsantino2023 3 жыл бұрын
To reset the service (wrench) symbol, I had to purchase a tool from Dealer Tool UK. It hooks up to your computer and the bike and you can reset the interval which makes the wrench disappear. My dealer did not offer free service on the bike. From what I’ve read, as long as you are able to document that you have done the service and save your receipts for the supplies, it should not effect the warranty.

Are those the Triumph engine dresser bars? Easy to install I assume?
@michaelsantino2023
@michaelsantino2023 3 жыл бұрын
They are pretty easy to install. However, the only part that was a little difficult was removing the main bolts on either side of the engine. However if you have a nice size ratchet, the leverage helps. Also on the left side of the bike I had to remove the the two nuts holding the header pipes to drop them down to get my ratchet in there. Those bolts should be torqued pretty tight too. I believe it gave the torque with the instructions. Might have been around 100 ft pounds, maybe more. Other than that, the instructions are straight forward and the rest is simple.

As light of torque as the drain plug takes, that's no crush washer. If you deform that washer at all, you've over torqued.
