If the tech package came with a GPS and a moving map that took OpenStreetMaps, read from USB, then it would be a nice upgrade. A Dual USB-C port setup with a cap/plug might make a nice add-on, now. I dislike strongly the flat colors, though some people will like the flat black. Good videos, thanks!

When I saw the color on the website I thought more of it as not my thing. To be honest though. I want and looked at them today. The Gas 300's they had were the Verde Relax, the Red and Yellow. The relax looks really good in person. Plan on purchasing one soon and may go that route. Married with kid so plenty conformable in my manhood, lol. Ridden all sorts of other bikes but like scooters too. The Relax color to me just fits the retro vibe and is a huge shout out to the 50's to me. I do love the Blue color as well so not 100% sure yet. Also, to me the GTS is the best deal of the group. I just do not see the others as being quite as good of a deal, except the touring.

Very informative video! Two questions: 1. Can you take the Vespa 300 on So. Cal. freeways? 2. Do you need an M1 license to ride one of these 300GTS new Vespas here in California?

The 300s do well on the freeway and will keep up with traffic in most situations. You do need to be cautious not to over do it or hold it wide open for long periods on the freeway. The smaller wheel size of the Vespas can be a little less comfortable and you may get some vibrations at higher speeds. We've got a lot of customers and employees that commute daily on the freeway with their 300s. Yes, you will need an M1 for just about everything on two wheels here in CA, but don't worry, it's a fairly painless process.

Why? Scooters can be used and are used as people's main source of transportation, depending on what part of the world your from. So many in the US just have this well, if it's not a big bagger or dresser it's a toy or girls ride... not true. And I live in ohio and have rode motorcycles for over 30 years, Also had other scooters (Yamaha)but now have Vespa GTS 300 Touring l and love it and will not go back to motorcycles, nothing against them I just love the simplicity and the raw enjoyment of my Vespa.

sabbottart To be fair they aren't all that bad I have a 07 GTS 250 yes it's low milage lives in the garage and has never seen wet commutes but it's spotless All Vespa need to do is apply a stone chip type undercoat on the belly but they spray the whole frame the same It's probably cost effective or are they too lazy to adopt the paint process but they need to address the issue at some point as it spoils the reputation of a proven scoot.

Can these Vespa's accommodate short riders of 5'4"?

If you're a fairly experienced rider, you should have no problem. That is about the cut-off height for the bigger Vespas. There are also options for lowering the suspension or shaving the seat down to get a little better reach. We'd recommend sitting on the bikes and see for yourself - look into the 150's if you don't feel comfortable.

@@LMTDDS ya I dont think HD will die but I think they are going have to get back into focus, they are trying to appeal to people who actually do not have much intrest in HD, and if they buy electric bikes and such they would be more drawn to Asian bike or European models. HD needs to get back to there roots and embrace the bike they are a classic V Twin and that may mean scaling back production and such ( a thing that no company wants to ever admit they reached their peak) I think as long as epa and such allows them there will always be a call for that classic v- twin cycle but just not necessarily growth for it. Also I think its possible the company could be bought out by another larger company, because greedy stockholders will not put up with no growth and just a maintaining healthy company. I rode HD a lot but they lost me when they started making the dealerships yuppie coffee shops. Just my 2 cents carry on! brother.
