Hey Robot, thank you so much for your videos. I moved and now and far away from any dealer and servicing is a DIY project now.

Hi, hope you have a great weekend! - do you think a two-stroke Vepsa Sprint 50 cc is worth it to start with? found one for about 1700 euro... I could tune it to 83 cc and put some Winter tyres on I guess.. but not sure is worth it, is a two-stroke from 2015, and looks in great shape... what do. you think?

Congratulations on the videos are top.... 😊C I wanted to ask you about my Et4 50 2001, I have hot start problems, if I did not accelerate slightly to a minimum not part, what could it be? The carburetor I cleaned 2 times in ultrasonic washing, the sleeves are all intact, and then in the opening sudden gas first I have a small vacuum, then it accelerates. Help me! Thank you.

I have a 1979 P200E. Way more fun to ride than modern Vespas. I just pour old gas out. I use gas as a parts cleaner, and also to clean oily greasy dirt off my hands and arms after working on a car or bike. One of the issues with those Vespa tanks is there is no way to get all the gas out. Even when all the usable gas is gone, there is still almost a 1/2" of gas left on the bottom of the tank. I store mine through most of the long HOT AZ summer. I like to get all the ethanol gas out, and put TruFuel in it. I have a suction pump that can get some of it out, but to get it all out, I take a bunch of small rags, put a rag on the end of a piece of wire, stick it down through the filler, and let the rag soak up the gas. You have to do it over and over again to get it all. I like that tail light. Mine just has the square style tail light. Would like to have one of those. I weigh 240, I run 32 psi in both tires. Those are modern tires. I use the vintage style tires on split rims mostly for the way they look. I wonder what the deal is with that orange silicone?

Now that is what a scooter should be. I have a 1979 P200E. Mine is blue. It is mostly stock, except for the engine. I had the engine rebuilt by a local vintage Vespa shop using a lot of high dollar aftermarket parts. It was not built for performance, it was built for reliability. Mine didn't come with any tools or manuals. I completely disassembled it and replaced all the wear parts, bearings, cables, fuel valve, hoses, etc., but left the engine to the professionals. It is somewhat scratched and faded, and I just cleaned it and left the original patina. One difference I noticed is that black trim piece on the front fender is chrome on mine. Can't say if it is original or not. These are not highway scooters. Mine tops out at around 60 mph GPS, but I don't ride it at full throttle for very long at the time. One tool you need on a vintage Vespa besides a pump is something to raise the rear wheel off the ground so you can change a flat on the rear. I made a small screw jack out of a piece of pipe, some threaded rod, nuts and washers that fits in the glovebox.

I don't understand this claiming SX 200 Lambretta needed constant maintenance i brought one at 3 years old with around 15,000 miles I had it for 2 years and sold for a new Honda K4 175 motorcycle in that time i did around 8,000 miles in that time I replaced 3 rear tires 1 front a set of front pads, rear brake shoes ( done by dealer the back wheel nearly fell off next day on way to Brands Hatch cos the wheel nuts were lose and they had distorted the brake drum and refused to fix the damage they did so i had to buy a new drum). It had an air filter replaced and I fitted a new seat as it was collapsing, and an exhaust rotted from salt. Before that I had a LI150 i rescued from scrapper. I fitted front suspension bushes 3 cables, a set off clutch plates, a set off tyres and a seat. that lasted 2 years with no other work. They were very reliable at least that was my experience between 1967 and 1972

I have to say that I never thought a US channel would have the best videos for one of the best selling European scooter! I have a BV 350 and you are my go to Internet resource for everything. All your videos are well made, no BS, straight to action and keeping all the important small details which can make a difference in. This is how proper car/motorbike how-to videos should be made!

I'm worried that if I leave a USB cable in a publicly accessible place, it will attract thieves. Do you have a version of the PP11 harness with an SAE connector? Alternatively, could I install the USB jack behind the kneecap, either in that little niche above the access panel, or dangling behind the glovebox with a USB cable plugged into it?

I had a GTS 250 about fifteen years ago. Definitely one of my favorite of the bikes I've owned over the years. I can't think of a smaller displacement motorcycle that's as comfortable for the passenger as the GTS. Two up riding all day long.

How can I tell if a cylinder kit is too large for a 2015 Vespa Sprint? I'm considering buying a second-hand Vespa Sprint 50cc 2-stroke for about 2000 dollars and tuning it. However, I'm concerned about the rest of the engine-can it handle tuning, and how do I know when a kit is too much for the engine? Specifically, how do the 73cc and 83cc kits compare in performance? What about a 103cc kit-is that way too much for the Sprint 50cc 2-stroke? What exactly happens when a kit is too large for the engine-what parts typically fail or can’t handle the upgrade? Thanks for clear instructions-I feel inspired to start tuning!

@Braapstar219 i just found out that the 2025 GTV still has the old style front suspension. The reason given was that the extra weight of the headlight on the fender makes it incompatible with the new version of the suspension.

P125cc doing a 50,000km trip. Sounds like Vespa Motorsport didn't do much except all the normal valves, carb clean, brakes, belt, shocks checked....no motor stuff. That's a pretty hefty load, and there are mountains in the journey. What a joy that machine has been, and a credit to its builders.
