She's beautiful bro. Mine is slate blue. I saved for probably 2 1/2 year's. Have all my electrical, my own designs add-on's. Just installed my J2 bixpy motor, with the fin drive. She flies through the water. Course I'm 5ft 7 151 lbs. But amazing fishing vessel. Shell get more toys this winter. Next year I'll enter 6 tournamants. Love being finally off the bank, and exploring the 8600 acre lake I fish. Now I can explore it all. Be safe bro, 🎣🙏🤟

What kind of tape you put underneath an does it stick very good
@KayakKingdom3 жыл бұрын
it's not tape. it door moulding for cars. had it for 6 months. still holding. you have to prep and clean thoroughly, and use 3m adhesion promoter.
thanks! subscribed you as well, seen some of your shearwater vids!

Looks really good man!! Next on the list for me is going to be some anchor system. Going back and forth with the anchor mate low pro with a pwc anchor or the “manual” power pole like you have, either yakgadget or yakattack. I fish a variety of lakes, creeks and rivers so I would love as much versatility as possible.
@KayakKingdom4 жыл бұрын
the yak gadget i have has a spot all way in the back that u can use a regular claw anchor with it as well if you wanted to. I might add the low pro anchor wizard reel down the line
@KayakKingdom4 жыл бұрын
I'm gonna be using this kayak for fishing flats and mangrove shorelines alot, so the pole was a no brainer. I carry a regular anchor as well for deep water if I need it. I just couldn't spring the $900 for the micro power pole just for a button, this one deploys rather easy for 750$ less 😂😂
@kyleball66794 жыл бұрын
Fishy Fingers yea man that makes the most sense for you, the actual power pole for most people is not worth the money, tug on a rope or hit the button for the money difference 90% of people are picking the manual version. I’m not much of a deep water fisherman so the pole is probably what I will end up with, probably the same set up with an anchor in case I need it for specific situations. So far loving the kayak, and happy I went with the tsunami color!! I wanted the raven but now I have a whole new look on the red and black, it’s sick!

@KayakKingdom4 жыл бұрын
@@tooch if you look on the site. it has a small hole for the pole, and all the way in the back it has a bigger hole for a mushroom or claw anchor.

Love the mods!!! I have a question about the hatch install I know the cut hole is only the diameter of the inside of the hatch but did you peel/cut out the foam deck pads the total width of the hatch including the screw diameter? Or did you just drill through the foam deck padding under the screws?
@KayakKingdom4 жыл бұрын
drilled through the deck padding. use the gasket that comes with the hatch as a template. carefully cut out and peel the "circle" of the padding you marked with a brand new razor blade and slowly peel back so you can re-use it for the top of the hatch

I might be partial. but I think this is a way better kayak. it does have some small issues that are easily fixable for next to no money. its hard to get the pedal drive right now (due to covid) but most companies are having supply issues right now. lifetime hull warranty and 5 year drive warranty

Did you make a video on how you put the power pole together I'd really like to see that??

it was bought from a company named yak gadget. check their site. it installed with just 4 bolts!

Where would you suggest going to find out about all the small issues that can be fixed with a mod? For example the double stiching and washers? I just purchased one, so while I wait for it deliver I want to get a head start. Thanks in advance

I have another question about the hatch. I don't know if the base pod is completely hollow or if there support bars or something inside. What do you think is the largest rectangular hatch size that would work?
@KayakKingdom4 жыл бұрын
there is NO rectangular hatch that fits, we've searched. unless you went custom, then your paying $200 for it, not worth it, at that point your better off getting the "versa pod" for $80. an 8" round hatch stick out and just doesn't fit right all together. the 6" round hatch is your best bet trust me. and its only like $13 on amazon. an
