I was looking forward to this review. Best car review channel in my opinion. Thanks A PHEV makes perfect sense for commuting and frequent short trips and car can be charged every night at home. More and more company parkings also offer charging, that means 80km commute each day without turning on the petrol engine, and a (PH)EV is unbeatable in “stop & go” traffic jam.

Very good. I have a XC40 Momentum Pro and added a panoramic sunroof and bigger alloys. Glad Autogefuel agree with my choice.

It's such a shame they removed the good looking grill from the fully electric version. I know it doesn't make sense functionality wise but in terms of design this looks so much better.

duo tone isn't my favourite look, I much prefer the Denim Blue in the Inscription model. The matte buttons on the wheel are definitely better than finger print magnet glossy black.

Hi, it was a good review. I have a generic question on Volvo hybrid models, what I understand is they use gasoline to preheat the car and also for air conditioning even in pure electric mode bez they don’t have heat pump like bmw, Mercedes hybrid. Cars with heat pump uses electricity for preheating and heating when car is driven in electric mode. What do you think ?. I am from Finland, we need preheating and car heating for almost 9 months in a year. During one of the recent hybrid car test ran by famous Finnish magazine mottorri , outcome was Volvo XC60 did 40 kms with full battery and used 1.5 liters of gasoline for heating the cabin during those 40 km travel whereas Mercedes c wagon did 37 km with pure electricity. So my understanding is Volvo always use gasoline even in Electric mode. But I can’t find any phev range test in KZbin that talks about this drawback with Volvo when it comes to fuel economy. What is your feedback on this?. Thanks in advance.

I think rather than starting the engine, the Volvo hybrids have an onboard fuel powered heater as standard, that's probably what's using the fuel.

If you keep the cable under the boot floor how are you going to get it out if the boot is full of luggage? It won't be very pleasant to get everything out just to take the cable. Actually the bag is the best way to keep the cable.

depends on how often you drive fully loaded =)

@@autogefuel Of course it depends! :) I have XC90 T8 and with two kids the boot is always full to the top. From my experience on long journeys it is more practical to store the cable in the bag but if you drive only in the city under the boot floor will be the best way. Great reviews by the way. Keep up the good work!!! :)

The next day we were driving with full charge and could score some 40 km all-electric. In more situations people will drive exactly as we did with not so high battery level, so that was helpful.
