What is awesome to me, when Paul McBeth and Brodie get together, is you can hear the thought processes going into throws from the best discgolfer in the world and a "discgolf" newb like Brodie, who can throw better than me, but has the newb mindset like me. Thank yall for doing this. Forget the haters! You guys are breaking new ground. Thx.

SO enjoyable ! Thanks PMcB and Brodie. Keep it up when .... ya know .... when you can. There is no doubt about the positive impact Brodie can (and will) have on this game. To be where he is right now after such a short time is beyond reason. Nobody just "jumps in" to disc golf, starts practicing for a bit, and goes out and beats a bunch of pros in a big tournament. This is NOT a thing. And yet ...... here he is throwing 980something rounds on a pro course layout in his very first tournament. You cannot deny the talent is there. We will all anxiously await the re-start of our season so we can follow not just Brodie but all of the players that are becoming more and more familiar to us with each passing season. Thanks again guys for providing quality entertainment during these excruciatingly difficult times. I'll hope to see both of you in VT this fall when all of this current MADness is behind us. Be well everyone.

I played heavily for a few years and fell off, working too much with too many kiddos, but watching you come in and take over this sport has gotten back in to the swing of things. I hope people realize how amazingly good Brodie’s round was after hardly any time since he started. He beat some touring pros who have been playing years and years including 1,000 rated players. Especially this difficult Pro Tier course... this is unheard of. +12 for an amateur would have been just fine
@warpedoutside4 жыл бұрын
Orangepie86 I agree. There will always be haters, but let’s be honest. Those haters are mad because he’s better than them and better than they expected him to be. I understand people are also mad because he got a sponsorship because of his media status, but he’s a good thing for the sport.

I'll tell you one thing, for your first tournament, you putted pretty damn well dude. A lot of pros putt worse than that for years. Sure, judgement of the wind on upshots and knowing how to play the wooded holes is a weakness, but that's the same for a huge majority of players. Not bad at all. You definitely have potential to do very well. You have the right attitude. You're always talking about where you can improve. Good mindset. But I suppose that comes from being used to competition. You know you can always improve. I liked the commentary too, giving Big Sexy a run for their money.

Some people have been giving Brodie flak for clouting his way on to the feature card but i honestly really enjoy watching him play. As a relatively new player to the sport of discgolf, I found his videos with McBeth and the others much more instrumental in improving my own game then just watching the tour. A lot of the shots and the lines that he struggles with, I can relate too, and listening to him and McBeth brake it down has really helped me with making adjustments.
@drunkrtard4 жыл бұрын
Erik Dean is there anything that actually makes it a “feature card” other than someone covering it? I watched a different “feature card” on Jomez.

People are mad bc he is more popular. He was selected to be on this card. There are touring pros who have worked long and hard to be where they are at. They laid ground work for new players and they should be proud. The haters sound like old men sitting on a porch.

Brodie, I love the enthusiasm you are bringing to the sport. I too was an ultimate guy that turned to disc golf. I am not a discraft guy, but there is one discraft disc in my bag- the rattler- understable putter. It looks like a little ultimate disc and it turns right consistently for those Ani putts. Typically I throw an aviar, but for a 30 footer that needs to go right... Take a look at the rattler. I haven't seen any pros do this, but it works for an amateur like me. Paul- don't let Brodie talk you into doing silly things like onesie golf. Keep slinging them discs

Brodie, Im a noobie here learning along side you, so please take this as you wish. I was watching your forehand throw on hole 17, I've had a hard time with this throw as well. I started mimicking 'Austin Hoops' forehand throw style and have seen significant improvement. I find that the whip and slight right leg over the left follow through keeps my body over the disc making it easier to keep the nose down and prevent the disc from wilding out. Just wanted to throw it out there as something that worked for me, I'm sure Paul is a way better coach than I am :p Keep up the great work, you are doing wonders for the sport!
