Chris I split and stacked all day by my self yesterday. It is just fun running your machines! I had a bunch of mulberry I got for free. Stringy, knotty and large. I used my 4 way wedge. Nothing stopped my 28 compact commercial. A lot of large blocks. 20 - 30 inches. With out a doubt one of the best pieces of equipment I ever owned. Thanks for producing a USA made great product! picked up 35ho saturday afternoon, i.t is a beast!! Got home about 5 had first cord split and stacked in an hour or so. worked like a champ, never faltered. thanks again chris i.t was more than i could have hoped for. top notch stuff.

Hey Chris, Awesome machine you built here I hope I can get one here soon! Cutting and splitting fire wood is something i love to do! And helping people out that need it even more fun! My neighbor is 79 we split wood for his outside boiler all the time! We bent his single wedge the other day... 40+ plus inch ash hit a knot and it didnt go well... 37ton northern tool model. So, just a few things to adhere. One, love the video! Too, love the Tim the toolman Taylor reference! And last but not least, I can't believe the dislikes that I had seen. Just remember that thank God you have some haters cuz then you know you're doing something right. Nobody ever criticizes the guy who's 200 pounds overweight but if you're doing 500 push-ups a day here comes the haters with telling you how you're doing it wrong yet they don't do any themselves. I think you are onto something by stacking the wedges. You could make stackable wedges for a modular wedge.

We have a Kubota powered HDI model getting finished up this week, think that one will be next. SHO machine is based on this same chassis. That model just adds horsepower, oil cooler and more standard features. Thanks!

Looks like nice splitter , out east were spoiled with the speed of the American super. 13 honda same pump . Same cylinder. There secret is probably pattened. There 5 inch cylinder. They bore the feeds out to all 3/4" hose instead of 1/2" pump and valve all 3/4. Then they take the cylinder and port it up to 3/4" no power loss. 6 sec cycle. Almost produce 3 cord in hour on an all out race. With a 4 way

Absolutely love y’alls splitters, hopefully one day I will be able to afford such luxury! Just curious, have y’all ever thought about making an economical version for us pooor folk? Lol. I wish y’all had something like a 25 ton for around $1500. I love the push through design but you can’t find them in a regular log splitter.

Chris - looking at this machine its more than capable running that ' 10 way '. Why not add a welded pin with a pin hole on top of the 4 way where the cylinder connects that all you would do is drop the 6 way on top of the 4 way as shown and place a pin thru securing it?

Hi Chris, I like your woodsplitter. great work! Is the cycle time you mentioned with no load, after 10 minutes i counted something with 12 seconds for half a cycle, so only pushing. I am also curious how you can achive more than 30 tons with a 13HP engine on 3000psi and 22GPM. Maybe I am confused of the imperial system, I am used to the metric system. Yes sir. All Honda electric start Honda engines come with minimum of 3 amp charge coil to recharge

If I had the good fortune to have one of your machines, I would be happy with just being able to brake the block down with a single knife...My wood rounds are 48 to 55 inches across, and I kind of dont like all the debris the multi blades make...

With the wider wheel track, how difficult is it to operate the splitter controls from the log lift side?

Not too bad, have to lean over a little. I split the first 2 logs in this video from the log lift side.

Do you have to run the Honda engine at 1/2 throttle during the breakin period?

No sir! 3/4 to full throttle is best for the engine. Run her that way for 10 hours and change oil. Thanks!

@@jakebredthauer5100 Round grain pattern being sheared into square pieces is what causes the waste. Whether it is a V shaped trough or flat, I don't believe it makes a difference.
