UPGRADED FMI SADDLE WITH DYED BONE PINS AND SLOTTING OF THE PIN HOLES BY JARVIS WONG OF THE GUITAR SPA
FEATURES
First and foremost, the LS-TA is a fine-crafted concert-size flattop steel-string acoustic comparable to the Yamaha LS16 ARE with a solid Engelmann spruce top, solid rosewood back and sides, five-piece mahogany and rosewood neck and ebony fingerboard and bridge. The gold-plated Yamaha die-cast tuners, shell dot neck inlays and rosette ring, clear teardrop-shape pickguard and maple binding with multiply black and white purfling surrounding the top combine to give the guitar a deluxe touch of class. Neck features include a 25 9/16-inch scale, 1 ¾-inch nut width, 15 ¾-inch radius, 20 medium frets and a comfortable, shallow C-shape profile. The top has received Yamaha’s proprietary A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) treatment that gives new wood the characteristics of aged, vintage wood.

I changed the saddle and bridge pins to tusq graphtech and the difference is huge. The sound is much better (overtones, sounds louder, mids more present). An excellent guitar.

Jarvis, Danial here. Thanks again for doing such a great job setting up my LS-TA :) As shared in our convo, I ordered this guitar brand new and when I received it, I didn't like how it played (action was too high) and I even felt a bit of buyer's remorse. After you worked on it, it came back playing as good as it sounds (and it sounds even better than before). I've enjoyed every minute of playing it since. To your viewers, especially in Singapore, I highly recommend getting Jarvis to work on your guitar, he's sure to bring it back to life. I think a lot of times we get too caught up with brand names and we forget how sometimes a good setup can make all the difference. And if you get a chance for Jarvis to work on your guitar, you'll find that he's someone who knows exactly what he's doing and is passionate and committed to bring out the best in your guitar in terms of playability and sound. Thanks again Jarvis!

Most people have no clue how good their guitars are. The LL series are like cannons and blow away martins, Taylor and Gibson. Don’t believe me look what some of the top flat pickers that use them like JP Cormier. World class flat picker loves Yamaha

Just got this one today in Burst finish an oh man its really worth every penny. Didn't really notice the TA system up until later. I'm blown away by what the reverb and chorus can do and it opens up alot of ideas you can thi k of using them. The guitarb without the effects is superb solid. It's built like a tank and that neck is just a breeze to play. Frets are also accurate and spaced great. Like he said its caters to fingerstyle/flatpickers but strumming is also amazing here. I think what makes it great for strumming too is the spruce/rosewood combo. Every note just sings and the sustain is just heavenly.

The Engelman top provides a lush sweet treble and it’s built to last .. it’s incredibly heavy that’s all but lovely guitar to play and if this was Taylor guitars they would have charge an extra US$1000 for It ..

Hello Jarvis, I have the LL-TA version of this and had both the Saddle and Nut upgraded to Bone and have not noticed any serious issues with feedback. I wanted the depth of the dreadnought (LL-TA) but like to play finger style so I had the stock strings changed out for Ernie Ball Aluminium Bronze to help get a little more projection from the G, B and high E strings. Also had the guitar put through the PLEK process. --- This is the most amazing guitar I have ever owned, it is such a wonderful sounding acoustic and I find myself playing it without the effects as much or more than with.

Well when I got mine it had no front strap button, so I don't know how yours got one, but I thought it was a cheap trick for an £800 guitar. And worse, the end pin jack for plugging in doubles as a strap button, and it's far too shallow to get a lot of leather ended guitar straps on, never mind adding a strap lock - it's a ridiculous design. You also have to remove the guitar strap you've just managed to get on every time you change the batteries - and it eats batteries. Reviewers always play on their lap and don't mention the problems for those of us who have to play standing up - otherwise, yes, the effects are good and it's fun to play!

Strap pin I had to install it
@SuperJ333
@SuperJ333 3 жыл бұрын
Yes - well I thought that was worth mentioning - as well as the difficulty of installing any kind of strap onto the end pin jack socket! Yamaha say that is now going to be their design, so a lot of their guitars are going to have this problem, whereas I bought a Yamaha AC3R a few years ago and that came with both strap buttons, a good deep end pin, and a separate battery compartment so you don't need to remove the strap to change batteries. This is a much better design, so why change it to something worse, that actually doesn't work - another company who need to hear: if it aint broke, don't fix it!
