Now i really wished you would have picked the kawa Z900 as i am so curious on what you're opinion and review off that bike would have been and what could be improved.. Hope you'll be able to review one in the future maybe from a testride or something.

SUPER 10 - why downgrade ? :). Lol MT-09 is a better over all choice imho. I bought a 2020 09 over the 10. Most that own a 10 agree the 09 is almost better than the 10. He’s gonna fall in in love with the power of that bike once he gets exhaust. It’s hooligan bike torque master... not a cruiser.

CycleCruza, I highly recommend the VCyclenut ECU flash. As for the forks, you might wanna take a look at the Andreani package. As far as the shock, chuck that shit, and pick your preferred aftermarket unit. Consider the Yosh, Graves, or GYTR exhaust. Those changes will transform that FZ. Additional changes would be S.S brakelines, and or brake pad compound. IT WILL BE AWESOME. No more jerky throttle because the injectors shut off, the bike will feel more planted, and you'll gain a nice amount of ponies too. Ride safe CC!!

"On/Off" because Yamaha cuts fuel as soon as you decelerate then when you add throttle it jerks on. ECU flash is the only way to fix it. Its NOT because of ride by wire. Emissions man!

@@exothermal.sprocket So why was the world pissed off at Volkswagen calling it emission scandal when every motorcycle manufacturer does it?
@exothermal.sprocket
@exothermal.sprocket 4 жыл бұрын
@@expatbiker6598 That's not the same issue. The fuel cut is required by regulations when the throttle is fully closed in a coasting condition, or "engine braking" condition. In other words, release the throttle fully while slowing down, and the fuel injectors shut fully off. This is required by regulators of fuel injected gasoline systems. On motorcycles, the system quickly dries out after fuel is cut. Reapply throttle and a whole series of events occur before power reaches the rear wheel. All that delay, lash, snatch translates to on/off harshness. This was never an issue with carbureted motorcycles since there was always fuel entering the engine so long as there was always air flowing through the intake. The solution is an ECU flash which solves the fuel issue, and with throttle-by-wire bikes, the flash also recalibrates the electronic map which takes signals from the throttle grip and translates them to the throttle servo.

Keep in mind Rebound is what controls the Pogo effect. 2nd and more over you have to Baseline the Suspension. If it isn't in range then buy the correct springs for your weight. You should be able to bounce the bike and the down stroke and up stroke on Suspension should take 1 second with a hard push down and release. The up stroke/release should come up with good motion. It should not come up and resettle. The front and rear should travel the Suspension eventually. Last steering dampening issue is more Suspension issues. Get the Suspension right then worry about a damper if it doesn't work out. Also this bike has been restricted from the orginal generation. So plenty of power is on tap. Yamaha detuned it to make it more manageable.

@@CycleCruza I find this interesting. You are actually closer to my weight. I'm 157-164 without gear. But to brutally honest you should have Baselined it first. Most bikes are set for a person around 150-160lbs. The experience someone lighter or heavier then you won't be the same. On the Baseline when you get you correct sag numbers. That will be the same for everyone you have it set for. Example you could be safe 30mm front and 30 mm rear. Well you want to used the recommend Sag for any bike you ride. Then you have a fixed point to Judge from. Example if a rider who's 190lbs that bike will save 37mm in the rear and only 22 mm up front the complain it doesn't steer that well. Yet the rider at 135lbs on has 26mm safe front and rear and say it's too Stiff. If both riders set identical or similar Sag numbers you experience as it pertains to Suspension geometry for stability, turn-in response and bump absorption will be very similar if not identical and on an even playing field. Can't wait for more reviews. See ya.

Integrated tails are trash. You cannot tell which way someone is turning if you're 2 or 3 cars back. Stab the brakes and signal at the same time, everything is worse. Frankly don't know why integrated signals aren't illegal. Stick with very good visible signal stalks separated from the tail. Unless you don't care anything about traffic actually seeing your turning intentions, the whole reason signals exist in the first place. Who cares what you look like? You want others to see your turning intentions.

Most electronically operated throttles have a better response than any human could ever notice. The reason cable throttles feel more responsive is that they're non-linear, you get a steep curve in the first 50% and then the rest is a much shallower curve. I'm not very good at explaining, but there's a good Engineering Explained video on it. So when you get on an electronic bike after being on a cable operated one, it can feel like the throttle is "lazy" and too sensitive up high.

CycleCruza I don’t wear boots but my roommate just recently had a low speed spill and broke his ankle. He was not wearing boots either. I gonna take this as a omen to purchase some high boots. Keep up the awesome vids CC!

You don’t need a steering stabilizer. I have the save KYB forks on GSX-S1000, you can dial out the front chatter. We’re the same weight: try these setting for a start. Tires - cold 30-32 Front forks - 3.5 rings out, TEN - 7 out, rebound - 12 out. Rear shock is the toughest, try 4-5 preload, 1-1.5 TEN.

July has been awesome so far, got a new contract, cyclecruza got himself an MT-09 as I hoped he would, and I bought myself a spanking new Triumph Street Twin that I can't wait to pick up this Tuesday! I'm gonna take a day off for that! XD

Adjust the Suspension before purchasing a steering damper. The best ride mode is standard. The previous model was known for jerky throttle response. Flashing the ecu is something you should really think about. I don’t know, if you know that the last couple of gears are restricted that way that the rev-limiter hits in more early. But that’s something you can fix. ✌️

4:57 -- CC ..I wanted to ask you about those gloves you had on. ( REAX perforated shorty gloves. I own a pair also). How did you get them to where they work well with operating your phone? Mine don't work for shit honestly. I'm having to jerry rig either some aluminum foil on the finger tip, or some liquid graphite lubricant spray on them yet they are advertised on Revzilla as being touch screen compatible. ***

It only works with the index and thumb fingers I believe. Mine works fine.

@@CycleCruza Well, no mods..stock, my pair doesn't..regardless of hand. I have to press down like I'm trying to squoosh and ninja turtle bug just to barely get my phone to react, not the case at all with my Flexium gloves I bought 3.5 years ago from revzilla. I think I'll try some spray on dry graphite lubricant like I"ve seen others on youtube do next.

I passed on this bike for a GSX-S1k and for me it was the wise move. Something about the seating position on this bike, the foot pegs are in a weird place for me. I’m 5’9” 190 and it wasn’t feeling right to me...I dunno. But congrats on the new bike and hope you enjoy it!

Does wind ever bother anyone's on the naked? I've been used to riding the R6 so much that when I rode my friend's Duke 690 at over 150km/h (something like 100mph maybe) I just felt uncomfortable. Is it just me?

I had a 2014 FZ-09 2 years ago. I thought the on-off throttle feel would have been worked out on the newer models. It was definitely something I didn't like about it. It just made low speed maneuvering a bit tricky, especially while in A mode. I usually found myself always switching modes depending on where I rode. I accidentally popped a power wheelie on it once also and almost hit a curb 😂 (from someone who's never learned or tried to wheelie). Scared the hell out of me. I think I enjoyed my CBR600 a lot more but the FZ was great everywhere but on the highway.
