I have a 2017 R6. I managed to get my bike around 390 lbs. Fender eliminator was a must for me too for looks and weight but the main bricks that I ditched to reduce weight was the exhaust and the battery. I cut off the heavy and restrictive baffle and installed a y-pipe with a Graves carbon slip on. This allowed me to remove the EXUP servo motor for the factory exhaust which weighed almost 5 lbs. A lithium battery also helped out with weight up top. The cheapest mod that I did that shaved almost 10 pounds was removing the passengers foot pegs and replacing the heavy passenger seat with a rear pillion cover from Amazon for under $30. I also did a gear reduction with 520 sprockets and chain which shaved a few lbs. Reducing a good amount weight from the subframe was the most noticeable improvement when tipping the bike from side to side to side. I can't wait to see the final weight for your build series.

wow that's fantastic man! I ordered the full LV exhaust which shaves off like 13lbs I think. And I am doing the Bauce tune which removes XUP and AIS sensors. But I am interested in the 520 conversation you got. Can you provide a link?

Nice! Thanks.. which chain did you choose? One tooth down in the front is what I’m looking at. Doing my own build series.. prob not gonna watch it as I don’t wanna be influenced and wanna do it unique my way.

@@PetroHead I asked some R6 forums what the best sprocket combo is for track application which is my goal for my bike. Most of them suggested -1/+1 which is 1 down on the front and 1 up on the back. I chose that combo and noticed the bike is snappier out of corners.

I just bought same nrc kit. Was my first mod. Also bought the full Leo Vince carbon exhaust. It’s still in the box because I’m scared to eff up the bike ! I need to get that thing installed. I have to get the block off plates and air filter first.

I finally bought the sprint filter and block off plates. Ecu is getting flashed next week while I’m out of town for work. Exhaust install is next Saturday ! I can’t wait. Maybe someone will have a video up by then on how to do it 😬😁

Old video but I have a 2017-2020 r6 just wondering if anyone could help watched this video after unplugging the tail light connection and now the tail light isn’t working at all, rode for two days on it and last night I shut off the bike and when I got back on and rode the next hour it wasn’t working. Let me know if there’s a solution. Thanks

If it was working then next day it stopped working, check connection.. it may be faulty. Things just don’t break overnight on their own.
