2020 YT Capra dropper cable repair and shortening | Postman Down

2020 YT Capra dropper cable repair and shortening...so at the end of last weeks ride my dropper cable broke. Luckily for me the cable broke at the lever so I don't need to buy a new cable. Its also time to start shortening this rats nest on the from of the bike. Im to cheap to buy the park tool cable cutters and I think the Dremel worked perfect so im sticking with it lol. I have had my yt capra base for like 3 months now. And absolutely love it. But I still get little creaks not bad one just little ones and then I get this weird squeaky noise that come from my bars when. I turn. Do you have any recommendations that might fix my problems. An I have re cranked all by bolts back to the correct Newton meters and they are still there a little bit.

Yea, glad your still enjoying it, if you can identify which frame bearing you can pull it out, re-grease it put it back in and re-torque. As for the handlebars mine creek a little bit too sometimes it’s barely noticeable only happens whenever I’m applying a lot of pressure to the bars. You could use the silver paste which is antiseize, that came with the bike for the handle bars and put a really light coat under the brake levers, dropper and shifter. No guarantee it would get ride of the squeak but worth a try. Just remember only a very little bit of it a lot will act like grease and your levers will spin easily

My Vitus Sentier came with a headset with minimal grease. Threw some more into the top and bottom and she's quiet again

The hose is hard to route, if removed you will have to look up how to route it. There are some decent vids out there
