Got mine a couple of days ago and I honestly can’t stop staring at it! Lovely bit of kit capable of much more than I can throw at it. !

Nice vid. Just for reference, the tubes (with brass valve stems) on my 27.5+ bike weighed 800g! Glad to see them gone.

Thanks! Yup, ditching tubes will make a big weight difference and improve tire performance.

Beautiful looking bike, and pretty well spec'd for the $. Putting this on my list. Really enjoyed the crisp close ups. By any chance is this Yari fork capable of a damper upgrade? If so, which damper kit? Ride On!

Nice bike! What is the max seatpost insertion depth?
@BikeBrosBikeShop4 жыл бұрын
On the large it looks like about 24cm from the top of the seattube.

loved your vid (greetings from the UK btw). I have this exact bike on order and its due to get here in a couple weeks. Is there tubeless rim tape on the rims already or do i have to buy some and put it on myself. Thanks

Greetings! What exactly is this difference between the C1 and C2??

The frame and geometry is identical but the forks, shock, brakes and I believe the rims are different too.

Any insight as to why 4 000 $ + bikes don't come standard with tubeless setups from factory? Anybody into biking to the point where they would spend that amount of money will have it tubeless before the first ride.

You can't ship with sealant im pretty sure is why.
@BikeBrosBikeShop4 жыл бұрын
Giant is the only company I know who ships bikes without tubes, valves in place and sealant to install. From different companies I've heard practical answers like the inflated tire with tube inside protects the rim during shipping ( which makes sense).
@petergibson72874 жыл бұрын
Why would you expect that? Do you think the shipper, and the shop staff, want to deal with the mess of sealant leaking everywhere?
@devinbyrnes80584 жыл бұрын
@@petergibson7287 Giant can make it happen. Just ship the supplies and.let the bike shop set it up. That could be a benefit of buying a bike shop bike.
@petergibson72874 жыл бұрын
@@devinbyrnes8058 That's already the benefit of buying a bike from a proper shop. The supplier of the bike has nothing to do with it. It's been ten years since I worked in a shop, but even back in those days, I would hand the bike over to the customer, set tubeless, if that's what they wanted. As far back as 2008, lots of Specialized bikes (over a certain price point) came tubeless ready, and the staff just had to add sealant and seat the tyres. Other models didn't come prepped so well, but I could still sell the set up to the customer, if it's something they wanted.

this bike is currently on a 6+ month eta from my local bike shop :(
@BikeBrosBikeShop3 жыл бұрын
yup, all the bike suppliers have recently updated when bikes will become available and dates are getting pushed pretty far into the future - there are problems ranging from a shipping container shortage to parts shortages from almost all the suppliers.

It's pronounced Ass -uh- guy. It's a Zulu war spear. The tire was designed by Greg Minnaar.
