Yes. We have a dog kennel across the street didnt realize he was barking like that till i was editing. Selective hearing i guess. Those dogs get to hear it every time i do dyno pulls so i guess i cant complain. Lol

I made the right choice when i picked an MT-10 twice! Love the sound snd it runs significantly smoother wifh your tune.

For me it was just value; the cp3 bikes are what 33-50% cheaper than the mt10/r1. I also had a cp4 r1 previous so I thought I might enjoy a change with the cp3 and so far i really do prefer this powerband to the r1. And ya your audio clip makes me miss the sound but I didn't love it when I had it oddly enough. I was thinking another r1 or the xsr900 but you're making me realize I didn't even consider the mt10 that thing is a monster. I'm happy just because the xsr is so beautiful that even my greed for power can be overlooked. I can still double and triple pass cars and I can actually pull all the way into 5th and 6th without going like 160mph. The cp3 is a better fit for someone with less self control(me)

I have the '18 MT-09 without any changes to the suspension. I briefly took a demo ride on both the '21 MT-09 and 09 SP. After Yamaha lowered that headstock and made other chassis changes, it was so obvious the difference in feel just rolling out of the parking lot for the first time. Then in '24 they updated again, the rearsets and bars got a bit more racy, fuel tank profile got lower, subframe had some changes. Otherwise I'm not sure how much better the front end feel has gotten for 24. It's a massive improvement from 2018. The other changes of course the cruise on base model, bigger TFT, quickshifter updates, and so on. I've also demo ridden the Z900 which feels so completely different in feeling "in" the bike, super stable, confidence inspiring, but very different engine obviously compared to the MT line.

Hi David ... ALexander here ... I have now both as well as you know although my CP3 bike is a '22 Tracer 9GT ... of course with your tune! In terms of power and especially smoothness there is no comparison. The CP4 is sooo much smoother and then pulls away in the upper half of the rpm range. The Cp3 is also significantly buzzier than the CP4 which is buttery smooth. Gas mileage on the Tracer is around 43 MPG and om the MT-10 38 mpg. THe only thing that I don't like on the MT-10 is the atrocious howling of the transmission. IT truly sounds like a gear box from the 1920s. All in all I wish I would have bought the MT-10 first ... I would never have looked back and I am actually considering selling the Tracer.

I have both also although my mt10 is a 1st gen '18 while mt09 is new gen '22. Can't keep them both, probably going to keep the mt10. One thing to mention, mt10 is an absolute pig when it comes to gas mileage, my mt10 gets about 25mpg but part of the reason is it just begs you to put your hand into it....all the time! Mt10 is flashed, exhaust, filter. Both VERY entertaining but Mt09 gets great mileage comparatively. Not that you buy either for great mpg but the difference IS significant.....if you're a commuter, etc. Great explanation and vid David👍.

On the new mt10 im working on a jeckle and hyde flash that will get reasonable fuel mileage when cruising (40+mpg) and still make full power and be a beast when you ask for it

Steering damper definitely helps a lot on the MTO9.

Just saw on Moto-Jitsu's content that you do ECU flashes for the MT-09. I have a 2023 -SP. I'm in Ca., I've been considering sending it to Moore Mofia in AZ but only because he's the only guy I knew about. I do track days and I'm getting gaped on the straights. Can you tell me the details of the flash? I was hoping to have all of the modes just bumped up by about 50% of the difference between where they are and 100% with the #1 mode at full. How do you manage that aspect of a flash? Is it custom and are all the modes still incremental steps up from one another as one would hope or expect? , Do you do it the same at Moore? Do all flashes do it the same or does each guy create their own custom maps? I currently have a stock exhaust but may , at some point, put on something a little louder and less restrictive. I was hoping to find a system that would let me hack off the system right after the 3 into 1 and just drop off the big square box and then a new slip on section from there. Is there such a system. I want to stay under 105 DB as that's the track limit at Laguna Seca where I do most track days. Seems silly to have to buy a new header when they are all pretty much the same to the 3 into 1 reducer. And then lastly, what does a flash cost? Thank you.

No problem. My business is developing mail in ecu flashes. Bu owning the bike instead of just tuning customers bikes it allows me to make a better product.

Curious to know, is there any possibility to flash mt09 2021 with stock exhaust and remove some of the stuff ( on/off throttle) and similar stuff to gain smoothness or overall better performance or ridebility ? Also do you accept ecu's from Europe..Appreciate any help

The cruisecontrol works with decat and witout the exsosvalve on the mt10 to.

Not on the new model. You can keep the servo plugged in and just remove the cables but if you unplug the servo from the harness cc. Will not work.

@@vcyclenut sorry, does that mean you don’t install a servo buddy? you just disconnect the cables and let the motor just spin its wheels so to speak.

I appreciate your opinion, but I think you’re expecting the wrong thing from the MTO nine. This is not a sport bike… It’s like saying a super Moto doesn’t have enough weight over the front end. But you can still rip a super Moto and you can still rip this thing.

The changes to the 24 mt09 feels like it was a direct response to the way I feel the 21 fell short. So it would seem someone at Yamaha agreed with me.

It's hard seeing videos with MT09 with third party risers. I've been searching all over the net. When I do find one, most of the stuff are not shipping to my country. How is the riser on the Mt09 treats you? how many inches does it drop. The stock mount are too high for my liking but comfortable for long ride. But since I daily rode this in busy rode all day. Lane splitting between care is a bit hard on tight spaces where the balancer will hit the side mirror of a car. I'm considering of getting a clip on it. But I ditch my supersport for the naked bike because I daily ride my bike everyday and do everything with it. Getting an upright positing bike is what I'm looking for and enough power so that I don't get bored on the weekend. But the handlebar still feels too high on the stock. I hunch forward anyway because I'm used to riding putting a little more weight on the front. But not too down forward like a sport bike. It's crucial when I'm speeding off on high speed. So lowering it might be benificial for my daily riding position and for not hitting up others side mirror when lane splitting. Side note: I managed to hit one side mirror of a car and broke their signal on the left side mirror of the car. TBH I was going fast on the traffic light. I was avoiding this big truck and titled the bike to the right to avoid. That's when it slightly hit the edge of the mirror and broke off the indicator signal. Funny enough been riding for 12 years and never hit a car once. Once I got to this bike. It changes my perspective of having this stock bar on bike.

I bought them so long ago I dont remember all the details the bars were still a little too high IMO but any lower they would hit the tank. glad you were not hurt!!

That dog is annoying. MT10 is a better more unique option. MT09 is better for in town duties. One feels like a hyper moto the other feels like a naked superbike..I prefer the naked superbike feel. IMHO..
