Hey thanks for ripping this. I like to see this opened because I'll never do it myself. For me I've never been a fan of the look of The Cup cards. But do like to see others enjoy opening this and seeing who they pull. I thought it was a fairly good box. Three promising prospects' autographs and that Jaromir Jagr looks good to me. I'm really high on the future of Podkolzin and PC him so that was cool to see you hit him. Don't bother listening to all these guys talking about money and being all negative. You're a collector and you can't put a price tag on the joy of collecting. This is a hobby, and like every other hobby out there its about the joy it brings you and not the money you put in to it. If I could like this more I would. It seems people have me mistaken with a “breaker” vs collector who is trying to help other collectors. I took risk with business profits for this content in hopes people enjoy like yourself. I personally grabbed a PSA 10 YG of Podkolzin months ago because of his accolades & talent. He’s not a NHLer yet but if you are a collector and fan of sport outside your own team you can decide whatever you see potential in. I am a fan of the NHL as a whole and Bruins are my team. Play the game as a goalie and collect. I don’t care about what people say to me, I just can’t comprehend people. If I watch a KZbin video and I don’t like it I just stop watching it, no need to put down someone who is actually trying. lol their opinions and points I find funny, as they make mistakes that they call out or just say something sucks because “Not everyone can be positive.”. You are entitled to your opinion. If you don’t pull the top five biggest chases for rookies, veterans or HoFers you would say the same thing. The box broke the odds, one guaranteed RPA one Auto Mem and one Auto. I hit three rookies who just started playing so who are you to determine their potential. My box broke the Upper Deck odds so I technically win.

Disappointed in The Cup this year, every box seems miserable. This one is no exception :/ At least you got 3 autos of decent names, but the manufactured stuff and the napkin RPA patches have GOT to go.

I agree the patch is not great mainly the crest with some silver, /249 that’s what happens some good some meh. I just pulled a FWAP Slafkovsky from SPA off camera it’s on my instagram/ebay. Probably one of the best patches I’ve ever seen/pulled it’s a beaut. You can’t throw a price tag on a prospect with limited play time I generally hold em vs list right away desperately trying to get a return. Holding onto FWA’s and RPA’s & exclusive YGs of prospects who just so happen to still be playing in college but drafted and UD puts them in a set. Holding onto them has yielded more return than being inpatient desperate for money. Like I said I can’t complain about 3 “RPA’s” though one is only a true RPA from The Cup.

@@jimmcgarry8466 can’t call it till I sell it I’m not in denial. I honestly whole heartedly rip for decent people to see the product, look at all of my content. I use profits from my store to fund my channel to provide people with insight, knowledge & view from a collector perspective not a breaker. In the current market just like ANY release if I was to auction this, it wouldn’t go well however, I don’t auction a single thing on my eBay store because auctions always lose. That’s why every single person finds the lowest auction and tries to use that as a comp with one to two bids, the seller sucks. So, at this current moment I have not looked at any singular comp because there’s probably none, most collectors will not take risk or will waste more money on breaks with some worse cards than my box… pick your poison. I am holding my pulls and will sell in future. There is potential however, the majority of people don’t think things out, they’re not patient. I’m sure right now if I searched 2021-22 Upper Deck The Cup and added some filters I could easily pick up PC items for probably $20 due to people not knowing how to do it or auctioning things too early, so if I find myself a top 5 rookie in the class one bid the RPA for $19.99 does it mean the card sucks or the seller does?

You people make me laugh, I have a life & I am a human being very fortunate to have a very successful personal life. I am using my separate business money to do this for others. I literally do this on the side because I love hockey & want to help others. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take brother. You feel better saying I lost money? You think I am in denial? I have not once denied anything. Read the context of my statements, I don’t look at it that way because I’m not selling anything yet so you can’t determine a loss. You also can’t determine a players potential if they go off next year that’s fine by me I’m patient. If it doesn’t pan out, I’d rather give the card away to a kid than take 50 bucks for it. Point is if this was a stock you don’t sell it, this hobby isn’t day trading. The fact that you determine players worth before they’re even given a chance to prove it shows how impatient you truly are because you’re trying to label something as a loss when it hasn’t even started.
