We had a big move in our future so we put off the travel trailer then. Now that were settled were back in the market and are really excited about the changes in the International for 2021. Thanks for the video Patrick:) My dream retirement home especially if you have a lot with open space out the back as I do, is the Globetrotter 27FBQ w/hatch. If your best views are out the front try the Globetrotter 30RB. Another coach to consider is the Globetrotter 25 FBQ because the bed sits sideways so you have great views out the front as well as the back:) My two cents.... lol.

I really enjoy all your videos, but one thing I never understood. Why is the black tank so big in comparison to the grey. Wouldn't it make sense to have a bigger grey tank and smaller black tank if only the toilet is going to the black. The grey is doing triple duty between the bathroom sink/shower/kitchen. Thank you

Yes, understood, it is that way on the small trailers. On the larger rear bedroom models the bathroom sink also empties into the black waste tank.

It’s becoming very popular on the aftermarket conversions. Lower total roof height. More room for solar. Inside “evaporator” units can be put where you want them. Different evaporators can be set to different temperatures. I just saw a video of an airstream trailer with one installed into the cabinet over the bed. It looked like a factory job.

I wanna see a walk through of the 2021 30' International and 30' Flying Cloud RB in this new decor when you get those in stock. I am curious though why did Airstream go with the Girard tankless water heaters in gas only when the Truma is electric and gas? We'll be looking to trade our 2019 25' FBQ Flying Cloud as soon as the new 2021 30's come in.

That bunk is a game changer..The one thing Airstream lacks is storage on the outside of the coach. That bunk will house a lot more than those overhead cabinets. Another big plus is the tankless hot water heater. Why doesn't Airstream install a generator.? I saw a video of a guy that installed many Lithium batteries/ lots of solar so he could get rid of his generator. Hmmm...I dont know? Might cut in on boon docking some. But then again if you had a crapload of solar and lithium batteries, you could do without a generator

For the money they charge, everything should be on point...

Great video. Anyone know what kind and number of batteries, and what converter and inverter upgrades one would need to apply to this trailer in order to solar charge and run the trailer off of the batteries for the 50amps service, in an offshore/boondocking situation for a weekend? I’ve read that for 2021, “Airstream Power Plus” has an optional dealer-installed upgrade to replace the 2AGM batteries with 2 LiFePO4 ones and upgraded power converter.. If someone got those Airstream Power Plus upgrades, does anyone know what additional upgrades would be needed so that it would be enough to unplug this trailer for a few days and still have power without a gas generator? Is it even a possibility to do that? I’m trying to sell my husband on buying this one for family trips.. he said we’d need to be plugged in to generators or shore power non-stop with this trailer and not interested. Need help. Thanks in advance.

The Lithium Power plus (200 amp hr) install varies depending on the model of trailer and the time the trailer is produced. If you purchase the Airstream with us we can give you an exact answer for the trailer you purchased. If you would like to run the entire trailer off of the batteries and solar for a limited time, you would need a total of 1600 amp hrs of battery and a 5000w inverter upgrade, this would be very costly.

We’d be outside most of the day and don’t need the TV and could go without AC for a weekend, but not sure if that makes much difference overall if unplugged for days? I’ve been looking to order a 27’ Flying Cloud or International queen or twin with bunk ASAP.. really need that 3rd dedicated bed for my eldest.. but of course my husband has the final say and said it’ll be a miserable experience for us plugged in at RV camps all the time. I really love this 27’ trailer size mostly because of all the windows and the 2 skylights.. if the 25’ had another skylight it’d be perfect, even if I had to sacrifice an AC unit. But that’s off topic. Anyway.. I’m willing to do the work and ‘some’ expensive upgrades for the quiet remote site camping experience but.. I’ll have to research it some more because 1600 amp hrs.. sounds like we’d need another truck and trailer dedicated just to haul the batteries for a weekend trip.😬 And unfortunately it’s starting to sound like he might’ve been right about his concerns.. he can never know about this.😂😉 Thanks again!🙂

I think the kind of battery should be a flexible option, solar or not. I also think in the next few years solar and tankless hot water heaters are going to explode. Those who install these products are going to have to partner with others so that repairs can be done through out the US. I would be curious to know the % of folks that buy/install those products after purchase of their rig. Based on videos, just about everyone does this upgrade eventually.
