AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension: Redeveloped in Affalterbach, the AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL suspension based on AIRMATIC enables a driving experience characterized by a high level of agility, neutral cornering behavior and optimal traction.
48-Volt on-board electrical system technology with EQ Boost: The engine found in the GLE 53 is supplemented with a powerful and efficient Integrated-Starter Generator, in addition to a powerful electric auxiliary compressor.
AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive: The new GLE 53 is equipped for maximum traction and dynamics with AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive. The intelligent steering variably links the permanently driven rear axle with the front axle and continually calculates the optimum torque distribution - depending on the driving situation and the driver's wishes. The system is capable of a power distribution between front and rear axle from 0:100; up to 50:50.
AMG DYNAMIC SELECT: The GLE 53 has seven drive programs: Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery, Individual, and Offroad (Trail and Sand). AMG DYNAMIC SELECT adapts important parameters such as the responsiveness of the engine and transmission, the characteristic curve of the accelerator and steering, the suspension damping and even the vehicle's sound.
AMG DYNAMICS is also integrated into the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs. In "Basic", "Advanced" and "Pro" levels, it influences the control strategies of the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) or the all-wheel drive.
Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC® is able to follow a vehicle in front at a pre-selected distance
Active Stop-and-Go Assist enables the GLE to recognize traffic jams at an early stage, actively supporting the driver in stop-and-go traffic up to approximately 37 mph

I think I'd probably go X5m50i over this, I think the interior in this gle is a little nicer but after driving a v8 its hard to say no to one

true, I own this car and the pops are nuts. Not even the 63 model or the X5M has pops like these from factory at least. Ive driven a lot of both and i get pops in the GLE63s and X5M however, they arent as entirely present as they are in the 53. Thats my experience tho

I just got mine. Surprise - it seems a little overcomplex. I never knew about the down-scroll on the secondary screen, and am still trying to understand what does what. But it's an AMG. I look forward to exploring its capabilities. I traded a RR Velar R-Dynamic P380 for this, which I loved. I have a feeling that affection will grow on this GLE. Thanks for the walk-through.

@@user-um3fx2vk8r Enjoying it - but we'll find out more after it's first B1 service tomorrow morning. But the GLE is much more responsive than the Velar - greater output with a less thirsty engine (and the GLE has a 50% larger tank to boot). MBUX is very nice. The downsides are... minimal. Sometimes the infotainment system takes a second longer than usual to boot up, and every now and then I get this very quick decending tone when I get in. Rear seat space is out-of-this-world huge. Music system is terrific (even if I can't seem to get the noise-adjusting system to work). Park assist (not the auto-park) is noce with 360-degree view, just wish I could get the proximity tones to work - only work when I put the car in drive or reverse. I'll chat with the folks at MB tomorrow - if they don't have the promised loaner.... Only other thing that I can think of is finding a good cleaner for the pedals - whoever owned it prior seems to have walked through tar before stepping into the car (not that it's present anywhere else in the vehicle. I would like the 63S, though, just to see what I'm missing. Then again, ignorance may be absolute bliss.

The option I found online was for Multicontour front seats with massage $1,100. And ventilated seats. I don't think it has performance seats like you'd find in a CLA 45.

48 Volt Battery issues that Mercedes wants to keep quiet about... After just one week and less than 300 miles on my new 2021 AMG GT 53 she wouldn't start. I had to get her towed in to the Dealership and had to wait over 2 weeks for a 48V Battery to arrive from Germany. Its not an isolated problem. nice car when she runs.

Review is amateur hour. Camera on his head makes the viewer woozy every time he turns his head. Had to turn it off. Couldn’t stand the idea of watching and listening to this guy drone on for 30 minutes. “Gonna open the windows” ....”Very windy today” seriously?
