I'm a Army veteran served in the 1st Gulf War, Operation Desert Storm. The history behind the patch was amazing never knew that the Army used horses in the early days after 9/11. The uniform is fitting since it's been 20 years since 9/11. Go Army!!! Beat Navy!!!

I had twenty-six years of active duty service, from 1965 to 1991, to include Vietnam (Infantry advisor). I was a visitor at USMA for a SCUSA Conference and a four-day ROTC visitor in 1963. I lived in the barracks with cadets Ray Anderson and Tom Erdman. (I felt the glare of cadre Captain Billy Joe Chance at morning formation) I commanded at the company, battalion and brigade levels. Great football uniform, great tradition, great Academy! Go Army!!! Beat! Navy!!!

16 years in the Air Force 23 total working for DOD but West Point is home to me while in New York Air national guard I coached pee wee hockey at West Point walking past general MacArthur statue was a constant reminder of what West Point military academy stood for and what our military stands for for our country freedom is not free That's an awesome looking uniform I hope I can purchase a Jersey and a pair of those gloves. If I’m not mistaken the Special Forces team they are talking about is the same Special Forces team based on the movie 12 Strong. They had to learn how to ride horses to move through the rough mountain terrains in Afghanistan 🇦🇫. But these uniforms are 🔥 🔥 🔥.

I never made it into the Academy, the Army knew better. But in my 10 years in the Army, I had the honor of training West Point Cadets during summer at Camp Buckner in the mid 70's. Love the uniform and what it means. Must have failedd because our current Defemse Sec. Austin (Cadet Fubar) was not dropped. There is no way to explain what this game means ,I have seen several and would rather attend the Army Navy game than the Supper Bowl. Guess I am just a soldier for life. Bdeatr Navy1

@@gentlegentleman8016 Like I said, I was one who tried to train him up at Buckner I failed.Cadet Fubar should have not been allowed to attend.This is how dumb her is. Just this past year he took part in the ceremony honoring Buffalo Soldiers, by finally putting a monument near Thayer Gate dedicated to them..What General lost did not know that there was allready one there , on Buffalo Soldier Field, across from the Thayer Hotel. He never knew about the original one.As a Cadet he was supposed to know the name and exact location of EVERY MONUMENT on the entire post.The Fubar said in his dedication speech it was well past time to honor these heros while standing in the middle of Buffalo Soldier Field. For oveer 50 years there has been a monument there.

That number 574 on the uniform was the number of the SF HALO team that had KIA and WIA from an errant close air support dropped bomb while engaged in combat. RIP gallant troopers. DOL!

I was in the military for 27 years. Army for 7 years as a heavy vehicle mechanic and then in the Navy for 20 years on Submarines. It is always hard for me to choose who i want to win. But, instead i just watch, think about my time in both services and pray it is a good game with each side showing respect for eachother. May God bless all who served and their families. As someone that serves in the Army and served in the Navy; I cheer for both teams equally. That said, while the Army's uniform team is inspirational; objectively speaking as a graphic designer, the Navy uniform is way better. Army's uniform doesnt have contrast at all. Nothing on it is ready-recognizable unless you zoom in. This is my opinion was a missed opportunity.

Go Army beat Navy! My ex-girlfriend (Proctor) was in the Army from 2000-2004. Afghanistan-Iraq war veteran. Proctor was deployed in Afghanistan October 2001- December 2002. Proctor was station in Germany from January 2003 until the countdown March 19 2003 Invasion of Iraq. War of Iraq. Proctor was in Iraq from March 20, 2003 until the fall September/October 2004. Proctor was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army 2000-2004. Four years in the U.S. Army. 🇺🇸🪖
