A lot of keyboard warriors here. This is hundreds of years of combat experience carved to make you a more effective soldier. If you ever see redundant things during the training like tire dragging or sleep deprivation. It isn’t to train you on a specific skill but instead to test you on your ability to endure hardship.

If anyone is feeling lonely and brokenhearted know that Jesus heals and delivers from every form of torment, he truly gives a peace that surpasses understanding that this evil world can never give. Jesus said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Fear and worry come from the devil but life and peace come from Jesus, God has been misrepresented by people who don’t know him.

If you are told too much about the assessment before the assessment, it invalidates the concept of an assessment. The idea of the assessment is they are looking for people that can adapt to the unknown and highly fluid environment and circumstances.

The actual training is often times not the part that stops most people, Its getting mentally and physically fit enough to even attempt it. For SF you need to run a almost sub 14 minute 2 mile and while that's not hard to get if you put in the consistent effort, a lot of SM's are only in the army because of free college or as a stepping stone onto a different point in life.
@1anre10 ай бұрын
@Carolina_CrewChief while those reasons not necessarily being a bad thing as the institution has evolved over the past 4 centuries into trying to be an employer of choice while alps fulfilling national duty requirements, those attracting bits have been what has kept people trooping in and on good number of cases doing their time and making it to General. On the SF side, I think less Hollywood and more documentary like films needs to make it to the youth so they appreciate and better prepare for the toils of SF selection

If you’re trying to min max your prep for a military selection, youre probably gonna fail. Eating well, exercising a lot, sleeping, and drinking less than your peers, if not at all, and for a long time beforehand is about all you can do to ‘be ready’ physically. Again, if you’re thinking about training to get in shape for a selection…you’re probably gonna get hurt. If you’re wondering how well you’ll be fed, or the timing of the course, etc., small things, you’re probably in a good place.

Wow, aren't you special? So, I guess what you went through was harder then because you had to put the logs on your shoulder? Did you have to carry it as far as them? If you had the opportunity to carry the logs how they did or "on our shoulders" during your assessment, which would you pick? Probably shoulders because it's harder and your harder, right? Did you beg the cadre to somehow make it even harder for you? While you're at it, why didn't you carry flaming logs on your shoulders? Why didn't you balance the log on your head? What exactly are you trying to accomplish with your statement? Low key brag you went to BUDS? Did you even graduate? Have your Budweiser? Just get out of here. The only people you are impressing with your statement are the school age kids in your trailer park and the other fib tellers at the VFW.

I was like damn, I beat out three career special forces men at 16. I never went, but I figured I beat sf guys at being an engineer. Didn’t have to prove myself any further.
