Hey All. Here is my 100 hour review on the mighty Beta 500 RRS. I love this bike and I go over my Pro's and Con's and the modifications I have made on the bike. Cheers.

Hey Cam, nice lite adv build. I have a 500/700 miles so far. Your spot on with your assessment. Thanks for the report on the oil pump gears. I will follow suit and replace at a similar interval. I’m still uncertain about the kick starter, as I’ve heard (?) you need dc battery power to pressurize the fuel injectors???? Look forward to your next vid. Enjoy section 3&4!

Cam, the led buld will only make it about as good as the 2022 and up bikes. If you want real usable light, get the baja design pro. For the rad fan, look into getting a manual override switch.

Another tip for you & the rest of the guys & girls. Raise your gearbox breather hose up under your seat. My wife & I sucked water into the gearboxes after a not so deep river crossing last Sunday. 2 friends on a KTM & Husquy had no problems with their breathers being up under der their seats. Good videos mate. Keep it up. 👍

@@advtorque - I bought a 2023 last year and the stock seat was killing me, too high and firm. Scored a near new SC Low from eBay for about $275, well worth it.

Would you say it would make a decent multi day BDR bike? Would the subframe handle the weight of luggage?

Absolutely, having ridden BDRs on a 2020 500 RR-S, it makes an excellent bike. I have loaded up that bike with a mosko 40 setup and a 1 gal rotopax strapped right behind the seat and it did wonderfully. I have wondered if I'm taking my chances with the subframe so might get the Nomadic rack but the bike is a beast.

Hey, I think they say you can do every 30 hours, but I typically do around 12-15 hours. More than I need too, but oil is cheap. One good thing is clutch separate from main engine oil.

All the emissions crap is a scam to rob performance on something you may need to save your life one day. Bikes are fun but they are very useful and anything useful to the masses is taxes out the ass and riddled with engineered obsolescence. Good thing we have work aroynds. Thanks man.

Or cargo ships that burn hundreds of tons (metric) of Marine heavy fuel oil (basically crude oil) per day, but my little 300cc chainsaw is subject to stringent emission requirements. The whole thing is a sham

Hows the vibrations on the 480? had a FE501 and it was terrible

Don’t notice anything, I do have wheels balanced. I rode a 2022 KTM 500 and holy crap vibrations coming up through your legs! Was crazy. Don’t get that on the beta.

I have a 2023 500, smooth even before balancing the wheels. I have 10 - 30 miles to some of our trails and it's great on county / state highways, lots of fun in town, too.

@@StephenHerman-zi9cb if you have a accurate torque wrench i.e one that hasn't been ratline around in a tin can. Then your not going to hurt anything by re torquing (use recommended bolt torque pattern of course)
