Its powered by a liquid cooled 1600cc inline 6 cylinder engine which puts out 162 BHP and 128 ft lb of torque.

Grand America with Option 719 Forged wheels. Absolutely beautiful bike. No question. But no ability to have a much wanted and needed backrest. No backlit handlebar switches for night riding. A must have for a touring bike. It also should have a large TFT colorful screen with Navigation. Notwithstanding a worthy stereo system if it’s going to have one at all. In short. BMW has very nice fit and finish but lacks some important “premium” appointments for a premium company. BMW can do much better. They should be leading in the Touring segment. The aforementioned elements also apply to their GTL and GT bikes.

I've chased this bike for several thousand miles and can attest to your review Bhro!! ;-) Awesome with the quickshifter, the Dynamic ESA keeps it well damped and on the level in some serious twisties, piece of cake really! Well done with the review!

Sadly to say, I sold mine after only 12k on her. From a beauty to hell and back. Too many issues. From injections, electronics, cold starts issues, shutting down while Riding. I had enough ! I loved it but no more BMW for me. Make sure you have a dealer close by !!!!!

As a longe term harley tourer owner I can say my recently acquired 2023 K1600GT did heaps more wind protection …….Beemer is an all round better machine than anything Harley currently have out there……other than image of course…..

You're wrong about the storage in the side bags. I had a Harley SGS with stretched bags. I couldn't even fit my half helmet in the Harley bag but can fit a full face in my GA.

Yeah you right... you can fit a full face helmet in it for sure. I'm not a fan of the saddlebags that open sideways..thats it!

@@Bhroman aftermarket companies sell bag inserts. I pack them with clothes and slip them in. When you get to the hotel you pull them out and walk in. They hold double what Harley or Indian offers.

Great review. I bleed Honda Red but this bike intrigues me. Still my 2008 Wing and am hesitant about the new 2021 Wing!

I have the 2018 Goldwing DCT model and I can tell you to stick with a Honda. Yes, I love the styling of the 1600GT series better than the GW. But, I prefer the better quality and availability of plenty of service locations and parts if that is needed. I only take my GW in for major service that I cannot do. Small maintenance like brakes, oil changes, I can do myself. The GW is Bluetooth ready to play all of your music to your headset or thru the speakers. It is your BT hub. Change the GT 1600 tires every 5k miles? Do you have your facts straight? My tires on my GW last minimum of 15k before I need to change them.

@@spkuse good info. I get about 10k on tires on my 2008. I do agree with some of your points tho! Plus, what would I do with all my Honda T Shirts? 😂 well, i have 2 Honda’s so guess I would be safe. Thanks for input

Is the trunk for the 2021 larger than the 2019? FYI: If not, it won't fully fit 2 full faces, at least my '19 can't.

I have no problem fitting two full faces on my 2018 GA

It corners so well because of the 17" front wheel. You didn't turn off the DTC to see what the bike really has but then again that's not for you experience level. It removes wheelie control and will stand straight upright.

I have a Roadmaster Dark Horse and it's not quite an apples to apples sorta comparison. Lol. The Beemer has more power, lesser weight, the quickshift pro... if you want your bike to be nimble then Beemer has the edge. If you want comfort, style, wind protection and the ability to just cruise on and on without much discomfort then the Indian has the edge lol. I love the speakers and audio out put of my Roadie too.

If the wind gets to you go drive a car , your riding a motorcycle ..most bike. change wind shields and get off the bike how did you get to ride bikes .i think you have not been on bike for a long time . NO I WILL NOT WATCH YOU AGAIN

I SEEN YOUR REPLY ,I HAVE OWNED BMW,VICTORY ,HARLEY, AND MY BMW HAD THE BEST WINDSHIELD AND THEY WERE ALL FULL TOURING BIKES .HAD TO CHANGE WINDSHIELDS ON ALL BUT THE BMW I STARTED RIDING AT 14 YEARS OF AGE AND. IAM 75 YEARS YOUNG AND STILL RIDE
