I am not too sure about that I watched a video myself and I saw how easy it was to connect with the Samsung that is why I made the choice of buying a Samsung with the smart view it is so simple never had an issue

@@spencerowens2048 its an app for iPhones android and u need an old adapter sold on amazon like 40-50 and u can customize ya bm like no chip alerts for seat belts , video in motion, change the Idrive intro, take off that warning sign that pops up and so on, so if u have dvd's with music videos u good if no cd drive flash drive.
