I got mine in January 2021 - 3,000km up on it now - no issues. As well as all those things you mentioned what I like most about this bike is the sheer smoothness and stability. This is the Rolls Royce of superbikes. Always seems so planted and sure footed at speed and even around town. The power delivery, gear changing and braking is just so perfect too.

Right on. I just got mine last week. 2021 M package. This bike is great. The dead spot is so obvious and invasive it's almost dangerous. You expect a certain amount of power out of second gear and you're just hit with zero power. Have to shift third gear to get more power. A brentune will be mandatory.
@SethMichael

Congrats! It really is crazy with that dead spot. I have the TI header on order and I think I'm going to go with a stage 1 brentune eventually for mine. What will you be getting?

I have the entire story on my youtube how I only went to the shop with my Yamaha R1 and ended up leaving with the S1000RR. I had to record the whole thing because it happened so fast lol! I'm actually looking into the BMW system that's specific to the s1000rr. Aside from that, I've just been a lot more cautious about where I leave it. It's either under lock and key or in my eye sight. And next time I go to Daytona, I'll have an airbnb with a garage instead of a hotel parking lot!

Disengage cruise control by engaging clutch, very little clutch movement is needed and it disengages smoothly

I don’t like self-canceling indicators. It’s inconsistent, but more importantly, if you use it, it creates a bad habit of not having the muscle memory to cancel your indicators after each turn. Failing to do so, can get you killed. So I don’t use it and just find it slightly annoying. Couldn’t agree more with how good heated grips and cruise control is. Every bike should come with these, and eventually will.

What about the navigation?
@SethMichael
@SethMichael 2 жыл бұрын
Personally, I don't use the navigation on the screen because it's more "turn by turn" rather than a map. The new adventure bikes on the other hand have a nice map display.

*Hi bro kindly suggest me which is best buy for using it as daily commute road bike say this 10000RR Or R1250Gs my height is 6ft"
@SethMichael
@SethMichael 2 жыл бұрын
If I had to daily commute, I'd probably go with either the s1000r (single R) which is a more upright version of this bike or I'd go with the s1000 xr. Both very comfortable for day to day riding, but still a blast to ride! A lot of guys really like the r12050GS bikes, but for me personally, I just find them to be a little too bulky for my liking. I'm also 6ft.

@@jeevanmotors4275 No real difficulties I can think of. But with a sport bike, you're just in a more aggressive riding position is all. But with cruise control and the overall comfortability of the s1000rr, it could be a daily commute bike as well! I've done longer trips on mine and it wasn't bad at all!

The app's ability to replay rides, especially through corners (including on track) is really nice. It shows speed, rpm, braking, acceleration, lean angles, DTC intervention, etc. Similarly you missed the Sport Display mode that gives lean angle, it max left/right, brake pressure, DTC intervention etc. Here's an example of how it looks on a local twisty: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eWaWqXSFf9KYZq8

You're right about that! There's a ton more features geared towards track style riding. I had fun tracking that stuff when I was in Tennessee a few months ago. This video was more geared towards everyday riding features. Also, whatever gimbal camera mount you're using is awesome!

Just got a 2022 M model and the dead spot can be somewhat eliminated by turning off the nanny aids (wheelie control, being biggest offender) and being in the proper gear to stay 8k+. Brentune stage 1 will be applied after warranty expires.....
@SethMichael
@SethMichael 2 жыл бұрын
You're definitely right about that. I've messed with those settings a little bit, but mostly try to stay in that sweet rpm range, lol. I keep thinking about that brentune. Mainly just to smooth things out a bit.
