Get the Hardstreet Ryt-there shelf set for your hard bags. I had them on a Chieftain, and my Road King bags, drop my phone, keys, wallet, sunglasses on the shelf, rest of the bag easy access for other gear, clothes, etc.

I know what that cap is for on the fairing. The cap on the right side is for the trickle charge. Which you pointed out. The cap on the left fairing ASM is for the installation of a fog light button. I have one on my 2024 Pursuit Dark horse.

I love this bike. Glad to hear Polaris took care of you. I had a horrible experience with a new 2018 Polaris Ranger, the machine came from the factory with issues that Polaris originally tried to blame on me. Polaris finally warrantied it, and i sold it as soon as i got it back. Bought a Can Am and have had zero issues and zero regrets. I would buy this bike in 2024 if my initial interactions had went different. Instead ill stick with HD and purchase a Road Glide.

My BMW K1600B also has that port. I have never used it. My bike has sat for 3 weeks and cranks right up. I am an electrical engineering technician and no way a bike battery should die in two days. No way. Your ignition runs on AC, not DC. The alternator charges the battery but also fires the plugs via the coils. Sounds like your alternator is not charging the battery. Since all your instruments run off DC like the Oxygen sensor, it makes sense the battery is not being charged.

Dude you have been put through hell!!! I believe most issues are “ground related “ in All machines and can be remedied by adding grounds and disassembling factory grounds removing paint scuffing bright metal surfaces Not touching surfaces with bare hands and reinstalling. Easier to add a ground then find an insufficient ground . To find parasitic voltage loss pull fuses while it’s “off” you should find the current draw. FYI Polaris has many wiring harness issues for Years on the off road line up .Sorry brother for your pain and suffering and lack of confidence. Please keep us updated.

When it works! As I watch your presentation and your magnificent job of containing your frustration I'm picking up what you are, and are not putting down. You want to luv and enjoy your new Indian; your new ride but can't because of these glitches. Indian set expectations, you bought into what they were selling, and now Indian was not able to fulfill those expectations. I feel your pain.

2022 Base model 0 problems to date Keep the Fob away from bike . Let computer load and hit OK on screen before starting . Never start and jump on it and twist let bike warm up to a minimum 170 - 175 Temp . This is essential to proper starting and riding procedure .

The heater in the O2 sensors warms up the sensor so the bike runs cleaner faster. As in low pollution. When you start the bike cold it runs on a cold start fuel map until the O2 sensors warm up enough to monitor the amount of oxygen in the exhaust. It sounds like your wiring harness had a short and that was causing fault codes. But if these codes come back you have a faulty ECU. It sounds like you have a bad battery also. You should be able to leave the bike sit for a couple of weeks before the battery dies. Go after them for a new battery….. ps Don’t leave the key on and flip through the menus as everything is powered up and you’re killing the battery very quickly. If your listing to the radio while in the garage and the bike not running make sure your in accessory mode just like your car. My son’s Victory cross country with 110,000km and no electrical issues. My Victory Vision 62,000 km and no issues.

Polaris makes the worst ATVs. I hope they didn’t make the Indian brand with the same quality as the ATVs. But from what I’ve been able to find, Harley has 10 times the issues. Also did you add anything electrical to the bike lately. Because these bikes are very sensitive to added electrical items. Also check your battery connections. They tend to loosen and cause major issues

Not on an Indian, but I have an 06 Polaris Sportsman ATV that kills batteries if I don't plug it in. Not sure how much tech they share between their ATVs and the Indian line (both owned by Polaris), but I know the ATVs have stator issues. I burned up an electronic control module on my Sportsman just by running the battery low

I have a 2020 base challenger with 30K on it. Still have the same battery. I do put it on an AGM battery charger when I let it sit for a couple of days. I wonder if they let the battery run down when they were working on it. So far, I have not had any problems with mine. Good luck with it.

I owned a 2020 Challenger and it was awesome for comfort and performance, but......I had electrical issues the entire time I owned it. It lived on a battery tender and I rode it usually about twice a week. It was always hard to start below 40 degrees. I contacted Indian corporate to open a case and try help me since the dealer just cleared codes and said they couldn't find any issue. The dealer usually blamed it on software issues. When corporate contacted the dealer that just caused the dealership to be angry with me. They finally changed out the handlebar wiring harness (which cost me, because I had put new bars on it) and said they hoped it was fixed. Problem came back within 2k miles. I couldn't afford to absorb the financial loss so hung on to the bike for 29,880 miles and a month shy of 3 years. Finally sold it for a big loss (14k). Every 1500 to 2000 miles the bike would throw codes, sometimes telling me to trailer it to the dealership. I just started pulling power to clear the codes, because the dealer would just clear codes when I trailered it to them. I talked to some owners that never had an issue with their bike and others that had problems similar to mine. I ended up with a 2023 Street Glide. I have over 9500 miles on it and have not had any issues. Needs better suspension, but I don't have to trailer it to a dealer. Regarding a Challenger exhaust, if you keep your bike. I would suggest just getting the CAT bypass and leaving the stock pipes on. I did that with mine and it sounded a bit like a screaming eagle exhaust. Quiet at idle, but really came alive when I hit the throttle. I put the Lloyds tune on mine as well. I do miss that power, but I don't miss the drama of owning the bike. I spent days worth of my time at the dealership trying to get it fixed. I hope you get your issue resolved. I have heard that Indian has bought defective bikes back. Just a thought.
