hi, which car is family-friendly but also fun to drive? e.g. bmw x3, alfa stelvio, or other competitors.. I would like a used one from about 2017.. The diesel version is very powerful, isn't it, the petrol is quieter, but you have to rotate it.. which is the secret tip? which variation is more reliable to spend the family's saved money on? Thanks

When it comes to the family-friendly yet exciting driving experience you're looking for, both the BMW X3 and Alfa Romeo Stelvio are excellent options. Each has its own unique charm, but let's break down your considerations: BMW X3 (2017): The BMW X3 is renowned for its blend of practicality and sportiness. It offers a range of engines, including diesel and petrol. The diesel version indeed packs a punch with its strong torque, making it a solid choice for spirited driving and highway cruising. On the other hand, the petrol variant provides a quieter and smoother ride, which can be particularly enjoyable for city driving or relaxed road trips. Alfa Romeo Stelvio (2017): The Alfa Romeo Stelvio is designed to offer an engaging and dynamic driving experience, with Italian flair. The petrol model delivers a refined and spirited performance, which can be quite exciting for those winding roads and open stretches. However, do keep in mind that Italian cars sometimes come with a certain level of character when it comes to maintenance and potential quirks. The Secret Tip: If you're seeking a bit of an offbeat suggestion, you might want to take a look at the Mazda CX-5 from around 2017. It strikes a nice balance between family-oriented comfort and a surprisingly engaging driving experience. Mazda is known for its responsive handling and stylish design, making it a hidden gem worth considering. Reliability and Spending: When deciding where to invest your family's savings, reliability is a major factor. Generally, BMW has a strong reputation for robustness and dependability, with the X3 often being considered a solid choice in this regard. Alfa Romeo, while offering an exhilarating drive, might come with slightly more uncertainty in terms of long-term reliability. Before making your final decision, I'd recommend researching specific models, reading user reviews, and checking maintenance histories. A well-maintained car can make a huge difference in your ownership experience. Best of luck with your decision!

@@AutoPOVDrive i have a 2015 Mazda, and I want to change from this model, naturally aspirated gasoline, weak..no torque..you have to turn it..ahh, it is undersized next to the turbo engines, unfortunately, they like to rot, the diesel also has problems, the oil pump chain breaks 160 at 000km. this skyactiv is a defective engine. the parts are not cheap, the brakes are also weak, I wanted an Alfa because the new ones are reliable, they have good brakes, a torquey engine, it's a pleasure to drive, they used to be bad but the new ones are now good, BMWs like to catch fire, there is also a 3000 euro engine overhaul , seals after 150,000 km..
