The gesture control does work, you need to be using one finger for the volume not two! When the gesture control is activated, the screen shows you the correct way of using it...

Not true about lift gate. You can change setting so that both upper and lower open/close together. Same for X5.

Regarding towing. When you have the optional factory towing package, they list the capacity at 7500 lbs on the BMW site. Not sure if anyone would want to tow that much with it but you can easily tow a ski boat if properly equipped. Great review!

Just Bimmercode it to stay at Sportmode and the height getting in won’t be an issue. Oh and play your favorite videos while cruising too...safely that is. Safety first!!!

Was looking to buy an x7 for a first time driver. But Im torn between the gls600 Maybach and the x7. My daughter just got her license yesterday and I just wanna get her something that she can drive with ease, comfort and saftey. With saftey being the main concern I was looking for a car with strong body and good traction (as we live in an area that’s prone to snow/Icey roads) Was hoping you or anybody in the comments that has driven either the x7 or maybach could give me some more insight?

I was in the same boat - although I wanted the new Denali. I was able to drive the new Denali against the X7 50i...the new 21 Denali is rough compared to the X7 and I do not think the Denali was worth what they are asking for it. Good luck with the Escalade.
